Yeah they don't go lecturing about massive changes in society or singing apologetics for some sort of ideology. They instead target day-to-day events that a common man/youth can personally relate to and communicate like an equal.

bro fuck I'm 21 and I already lost my childhood friends to stupid shit that I was ignorant to , life is a cruel selfish game of chess one slip up and that's it, act stupid regret not being smart, act smart regret not being stupid the best way to enjoy life is to do what you enjoy most and forget what other people are going to think about you at the end of the day wasting your thinking wrong of someone else is, is time you could have spent making yourself a better person dropping addictions seeking help or making someone else aware of issues and helping them. Life is a rich mans game stick together and help each other, think outside the box and make life just that little bit easier less we all go mad and suffer the same fates.

I think my favorite Offspring hit was ‘Come out and play’ (you gotta keep them separated). Incredible thrashing And then a little middle eastern riff, but then the message smacks you right in the face! I didn’t hear them until I moved to Oregon. That thrash punk was popular with the skateboarding crews and box bikers. I doubt I would have heard them if I didn’t work in advertising. Keeps you young and I was in my 40s by then. But I had loved punk in the 70s/80s. I wasn’t about to miss out on them once I heard them

I went to an alternative high school and this was basically our theme song. We were the kids that weren't alright. The majority of my class was incarcerated or dead by 25.

Not only is this a nod to The Who (by some considered the first Punk band) but on the song "Americana" Dexter sings: "I want it right now, cause my G--g-g-generation don't like to wait." Always cracked me up.

"THE KIDS AREN'T ALRIGHT!!" (Shout-out to our other boy Alex Hefner. 😜) Jamel, I could so tell as you were listening to the first verse that you knew this song. I love when that look of familiarity happens, as when you first listen to and love a new song. Have you ever reacted to their very first big hit, "Come Out & Play?" Please do that one if you haven't already done so!! Love you!!!!
