People change, it's a natural part of our evolution. If you can't support BTS's journey, then I guess you aren't really a fan. BTS have given fans more than music, they have treated fans like cherished friends & let us into their lives & the lives of their families. I found BTS at a time when my attitude to life had become so apathetic that I was just just going through the motions while waiting for my life to end. BTS has helped me out of that funk, they have renewed my enthusiasm for life. Saranhaeyo BTS, I am truly grateful.

I understand when ARMY says they miss the earlier BTS eras and music or the BU. I became ARMY in 2017 and it was wonderful, but I would be sad not to have had the music that came after such as the Map of the Soul albums or their incredible diverse solo albums. I am excited about what they will do next, what will they create together, and the immense impact they will have on the music industry in Korea and the world. There will be a lot of negativity towards them from all directions and the only way to combat that is to get super hyped about our continuing journey with BTS.

As a baby Army who ran from BTS for the past 6 or 7 years. I'll be 52 this year, and I can tell you I'm in it for the long haul! As sad as it is to see some Army fall away, it's an inevitable part of life. Just as friends and lovers at times outgrow each other, the same can be said for fandoms. Just like a snake sheds its skin as a necessary part of its growth. The old skin that is damaged or will not grow with it must be removed. So BTS will also shed fans as a necessary part of their growth process. As for me and others like me, BTS themselves will have to surgically remove me to get rid of me. I will always love and support them, and want what is best for them. Even if it's not what's best for me!

I'm playing catch up as i only found BTS in nov 2023, when their military service had already started . So i have only watched them grow up by seeing all their old material, and i am so thankful to have that opportunity. They were already grown but seeing their evolution makes me appreciate the wonderful talented men they are now even more. I am excited to see how their experiences have changed them on their return. We all continue to change as we age, at least you should. As a 67 year old i am still learning new things and exploring and hopefully evolving for the better. They will too, noone wants to be stagnant (except maybe Suga who wanted to be a rock ....lol, but we all know he is anything but)

This is spot on! You state the issue(s) very well. As new Army, I've actually been concerned for BTS with so many saying they're going to be the same as they were before military service. Time aside, that service is something that changes a person. They need to be allowed to grow, mature, and change.

Thank you for this lovely video and the chance to appreciate again what BTS means to me. I'm very old. But when BTS grabbed me by the heart 6 years ago and pulled me into ARMY, I never imagined that I could be involved they way I am today. I was literally sitting on my couch waiting to die that night in early 2019 when I saw them on SNL. I seem to have grown and renewed with them every time they gave us a new song, a new stage, a new look at a different place on the globe. I have enjoyed every minute of watching them grow and change and haven't been bored for a second. Even as they left the stage to serve in the military, they have shared their hard work and expanded worldview with us to an extent I have never seen in a group of entertainers and I was old enough to watch the 'Beatles' walk off the plane onto the tarmac at LaGuardia in NYC, USA for their first trip to the states. BTS has taken my breath away so many times I'm surprised I have any breath left. I can't wait to see what they will be able to show us when they are finally free to let us in on the amazing creative genius that will blossom without constraint when they return. Peace ~ 😇💜

In my opinion, any music that comes from BTS, whether as a group or through their solo projects, is a gift from their hearts to their beloved ARMY. I feel overwhelmed with pride whenever they come out with something new and fresh. So many people who are experiencing BTS for the first time are amazed at the wide range of genres that they cover in their music. To me, groups whose music stays the same over time becomes boring. There's no excitement or anticipation for a new album if it's about the same old topics written in the same old style. I LOVE to be able to witness their personal and professional growth over the years. I'm so very, very PROUD of the boys they were and the men they've become. No matter what music they make, I can't help but like it because it's THEIRS. It reaches me at a deeper level than anyone else's music. No matter what mood I'm in on any particular day, there's a BTS song that fits that feeling.

This is something I have thought about. To me, they don’t owe us anything. Anything they want to give us in the future is a gift, but if they need long breaks, they should take them. I’m just excited to see how they grow and I will go along with them and embrace them.

If BTS stayed the same then people would be saying that they are boring and stagnant. Its why artists that blew up from a trend usually end up dropping off not long after.

To the creator and narrator of this channel, first and foremost I really enjoy your content and the respectful and loving way you hold BTS as a whole and the individual members. Second, this video was excellent! Thank you for taking on the issues raised head on. As an older ARMY, who became part of this amazing global community that I am proud to be part of, I bring a perspective that may be shared by other ARMY’s over 50. I am so grateful to those younger ARMY’s who may have been with BTS since the beginning. Your enthusiasm, courage and commitment inspired me. So many young creators of channels have made sure to document BTS music, MV’s, Bangtan programs, etc. and I have benefited from those efforts. At 69 years young I can appreciate watching the members early years and see for myself how they and their music has evolved and see their trajectory to present times. Their journeys, individual and collective, gave me hope touching on familiar points of growth in my own life. I connected with Namjoon, Yoongi, Hobi as they strived to redefine themselves, asking who am I now? What is my place in the world? What part of me do I yearn to express to others? These are universal questions that each one of us will ask more than once in our lifetimes. I’m getting long winded so I end with this. The person who created this video is asking ARMY’s to be willing to support, encourage, love our Beloved OT7 as they return to us as men who have been through an important milestone who want to share their stories with us. They’ve walked through their individual tests of fire, that can make or break a person. Fire is used to purify gold burning the dross that reveals its purity and light. BTS will return to us as GOLD. I can’t wait to learn and take courage from them even at my age. Thank you to the creator of today’s video. 💜💜💜💜💜💜👍🏽

Thank you for this! I am old enough to remember thin Elvis, the early Beatles, the change they brought. The Beatles breaking up and the fandom defending their bias (not what we said back then) and blaming the others, some of us preferred the early work and some of us their growth. Fat Elvis sold out but others liked his Vegas look. Elvis is gone, two of the Beatles have passed but their sons make music, life goes on. You may not enjoy their growth but don't be like a parent who wants their children to stay a certain age. That causes friction and it's unpleasant for all. One more thing, they will date and get married, get used to it. Hope for the best and enjoy what they do, I think they deserve to grow and be happy. Just think about it, 12 years ago, did you even know V existed. What a happy surprise, but V felt alone and confused. Support them.

Agree. I was at the Newport Folk Festival in the 1960’s when Bob Dylan came out on stage with an electric guitar and a band. Some in the crowd booed him, it was so disrespectful and unfair to Dylan the artist. Let’s not repeat shameful history.
@schafferableКүн бұрын
I love them, I want them to marry and have children just like other bands and musicians we like to hear from and who are still going strong. If they don't change, they will have nothing to say, it is life circumstances that write songs that we always identify with emotionally and socially. We identify with the change - if YOU don't you're boring and stuck!
@v.r.138Күн бұрын
I agree with @schafferable wholeheartedly. At the Festa where they talked about taking time for themselves, I believe RM talked about needing time to live and have life experiences that would inform their art. Life itself is the pathway to all art and its creation. I look forward to hearing the lyrics that will tell the stories of what they have experienced over the last 4 years starting with sending Jin off to the military first. What a gift it will be!! Thank you for your post.

These men gave up their younger years & teenage years with everything that entails. They worked hard to entertain fans, they have grown up 10 yrs of living in each others pockets is not sustainable & anyone who thinks that this should be the path forward is not in touch with reality. The Military will change them they are nearly 30 years old & deserve to have relationships & marriage/kids like any other human. if they tour together great if they choose to be solo great. its up to them. You cant change these fans & their mindset, they are the ones that need to reflect & grow not BTS. Every word of this video is true

For genuine ARMY, it is not how long we can keep the hype rather it is how we meaningfully experience the journey towards where BTSxARMY is at present. Soon all 7 of them will have their respective families and would need more time for themselves. Time will come that Hype may deter for but genuine ARMY will certainly and remain look forward to their artistic growth, individually or as a group, and will continue crowding their concerts. I thank BTS everyday of my life for bringing joy in my life, especially when I found them at the time I needed them most during the 2 year pandemic where we've lost love ones. Indeed, BTS music has a healing power without singing gospel songs. For BTS, we 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜!

Thank you for another great video. The editing and the narration improved a lot, congratulations. Going to the issue in question, BTS's ability to evolve and show different sides of themselves is what turned most of us into fans. Why would we ask them to change that when changing is their trademark? I want to see all the different colors they have, that's what they always did and kept showing through their solo era. Am excited to see what more colors their experience in the military will add to their artistry. That's what BTS is, the only constant with them is that they are always changing and showing new sides of themselves. Let's keep supporting their work and enjoying their artistry.

Of course they will change… everybody changes… you change too… if you don’t change you’d still be invested in Peppa pig till now… but you don’t watch Peppa pig anymore because you grow and evolve… Artists evolve and learn and discover new things… art is fluid it is not stagnant… it is fascinating to watch them evolve from Danger years, eyeliner and all to the mature, sleek fashionistas they are today. I love how they have learnt to relax a little and not be too rigid with dance choreography. It makes them more natural…

That's what I've been saying, since before enlistment. The BTS we see will still be, on a fundamental level, the same guys who went into the military. But they will have been shaped - some may say, honed - by their experiences there; all the people they meet; and every thought and feeling they have along the way. The BTS who come back will be older, more mature, honed physically by their training, and with minds broadened (even more) by connecting with knew people and growing to understand their lives. The BTS who come back will be the same, yet different in ways we can not anticipate yet. And the music they create, their performances, will be shaped by a lifetime of experiences. And I can't wait to see what that looks like. It's going to be an exciting time. And a beautiful one.. And maybe I was lucky. My first exposure to BTS was a reaction video to ON. Then I went on a journey of exploration - if and unstructured one. I was finding songs from various stages in their career. I believe it was ON; DNA; Daechwita; Agust D; then a couple of intro videos; the No More Dream; Danger; N.O. And they all blew me away. I fell/threw myself/ down the rabbit hole, and never looked back. And I love the early songs just as much as their more recent ones. They all touch me, speak to me in different ways, make me think and feel different things. And that's powerful. That's beautiful, and amazing. That's BTS.

A small detail I noticed in JK's letter to ARMYs-when you read between the lines, he literally wrote about growing up! Like, seriously, I think he’s mature enough. He wrote about focusing on growth, and I can’t wait to see this. I’m 27, and I grew up with One Direction, but when I look back now, I realize I was just a kiddo. 😄 I have such funny memories with them. Sometimes, when I listen to BTS members talking about their music or the songs they’ve written themselves, I really envy their maturity-even though I’m a mom now.

I am an older ARMY of age and for me it is normal seeing Artists getting older, that‘s life! BTS made an incredible career and will go on. I am often angry when I read those kind of comments on Weverse, especially about the youngest Jung kook. No, he is not a baby anymore, all members are mature full in life standing individual characters, they had experiences a lot of us will never have in our life! They are very dedicated to their work, hard working for their success and they are now businessmen too, a lot of people often forget they are millionaires, they were always as responsible for their work as possible! If we want to have this group including their soloists as long as possible we need to accept their changes! Can we really expect them to dance their choreos, when they are getting older? The music will change too of course , life is a neverending change, accept it or step back! From my experience it is impossible to love every music song equally, it‘s okay to say that song isn‘t one for me but that doesn‘t change the support and dedication for the members and their work! Thanks for the great video!
