I'm from Old Swan and went to St Oswald's primary and Junior school was also baptised and made my communion in the Church I remember my mum and nan always mentioning how my school was built upon a mass grave but I never believed them always just thinking it was to scare me so to find out it was true is simply astonishing. Also, great video mate you've gained a new subscriber not once in my life did I ever think I'd be watching a youtube video about Old Swan hahahaha

I lived in the area for many years, and walked past the school every week on shopping trips. It's very much in the grounds of the far older church so you'd expect the graveyard to extend that way.

My therory: they were Irish migrants during the famine that arrived by boat, however, most of the people on board died of an infection contained on the ship. The authorities at the time treating the victims with little respect created the mass grave. Seeing as the migrants families were back in Ireland or deceased, they thought they could secretly dispose of them without any officual record. Not sure how accurate the theory could be because i have know idea if one ship could house 3000 migrants at once at that time ?

The most likely explanation is that the site was a churchyard that had been repurposed and forgotten after the church it was attached to ceased operation and was destroyed.

I just watched your new channel's first video. It was just awesome!!! Yes, I did subscribe to your new channel and hit the bell. Very interesting story. Are vampires real?? Absolutely "YES"!!! But the skeptical people will say it's all made up stories, a movie for the people's entertainment. Now that is what I call a made up story.
