I honestly would love to hear Ken's opinion on why the bible said figs were ripe on the tree when Jesus was born if it was December 25th? I am genuinely asking. God bless!

Jesus never says the Old Testament is literal history and Paul never says it either. One of the few times Paul actually mentions the Old Testament is when he justifies why women should be subordinate and submit to their men - women were created chronologically after men, and as weaker helpers for men. Now there are of course many re-interpretations to make these sayings appear more progressive, but that aside Paul never explicitly says Eve literally existed.

As a matter of fact, Paul explicitly states that some Old Testament stories are allegory rather than literal history (Galatians 4:24), and says we shouldn't take scripture literally anyway (2 Corinthians 3:6).

There are no allegories in Scripture! Paul is using this to support his contrast between law and grace. Abraham, Isaac, Ishmael, Hagar and Sarah were actual persons and their story is actual history. There is no secret or hidden meaning. As for 2 Corinthians 3:6, you are completely twisting Scripture and reading into it something that isn’t there. “The Letter” refers to the law, not Scripture itself. Why don’t you get a good study Bible to help you divide Scripture rightly. I’m using John MacArthur’s study Bible. It’s helped me a great deal, but there are many good ones out there. God bless and Merry Christmas.

@@micahhenley589He never indicated so when talking about the Old Testament so I assume you have asked him directly about his views on the old texts.
