I drove through that town late at night one night in 2019, on our way up into Colorado, then onto Fargo, ND.

Great walk! Two comments Ilfeld is pronounced "ILL-feld", and you went right by the iconic Murphey Drug Store. That has a history all of its own.

Thanks - and thanks for the pronunciation of Ilfeld. One of the hardest things for me to do when I travel and do videos is know how to say names correctly and that really helps!

You must of been there on a Sunday...nothing is open and no cars parked along the street near the plaza. However the cars parked 'backed-in' in front of the Plaza Hotel is really weird! You missed showing the building used for Longmire's office. Also the historic bridge, you were just steps away when you turned back. There is so much more rich history there than mentioned here.

I totally agree I could have seen much more after researching more of the city after my visit. That just gives me incentive to return back one day to do a more comprehensive video. Thanks for watching. Oh, yes - it was a quiet Sunday morning when I visited. I often film on weekend mornings so I capture the buildings without a ton of car parked and blocking the views.

Hello my friend. I have been admitted to New Mexico highlands university in Las Vegas. I will be coming next month. Can we be friends?

You really need to research your subject. You walked right by the jail and then misidentified it as being in the wrong building on the wrong side of the street. While on the plaza, you were less than 100 yards from some of the oldest continually inhabited houses in Las Vegas. It is pronounced el feedell....

Thanks for the info. Next time I head to Las Vegas I'll know a bit more. It's sometimes tough when you are a visitor to understand pronunciation and some of the historic places.
