video was all good until the last bit. that skier fully made it to the Olympics without cheating, by recognizing the flaw in her countries system. Why wasn't Russia (an entire country) devoting themselves to the art and craft of cheating number one? It was mentioned, but not like FOR SURE the number one? The cheatiest they could cheat at a level no one else could cheat at with the sole purpose of cheating, must qualify them more then the girl who didn't cheat at all?

Cheating isn't much of a foreign concept for communist nations. The 1980 Moscow Olympics were boycotted by many western nations (and Romania) in protest of the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan. It might have been a good thing, as the Moscow Olympics became known as the "Chemists' Games" due to the large numbers of athletes who were doping. The USSR would reciprocate the boycott at the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics and promptly screwed over McDonalds; causing them to have to give away tons of free food due to no communist cheaters showing up to challenge the dominant USA. If you go through the results of the Olympics over the past century, you can literally correlate the winner of highest # of medals/gold medals with whichever country holds the place of strongest world power. In the 1930’s, it was Germany and US. Later, during the Cold War, it was US and USSR. The past few have been China and US. The number of citizens seems to have no bearing on this. India, for example, has a population of 1.4 billion, and USA 330 million (1/4 of India).

The skier never cheated. In fact, she followed the rules to a T. Sure, she exploited multiple loopholes, but loopholes are legal. She knew the qualification rules and picked an event that only a few women ever enter on the World Cup tour so that she could make it in. Then, she also knew that her grandparents’ Hungarian citizenship allowed her to compete for them since she had no hope of making the US team.
@FivePointsVids4 жыл бұрын
Wouldn’t you consider that a scam
@twomble50024 жыл бұрын
FivePoints Vids it depends. You could make an argument based on the fact that she didn’t exactly deserve to be there on the basis of her athletic talents. However, it wasn’t exactly a scam given that she didn’t break any rules to do what she did. There are plenty of instances where Olympic athletes were able to compete despite their severe lack of athleticism. Some we even celebrate as heroes for doing what they did, look at Eddie the Eagle for an example. He finished both events dead last and scored only half the points of the next competitor placed above him, yet he got a movie made about him. Then there’s the Jamaican Bobsled Team. This girl just gets shit on because she went the extra step of figuring out she could compete for a country she had never lived in since no one else wanted to represent them.
