I was saving up to replace my Canon T3i when I had a financial crisis and now I'm broke. Thanks for the reminder that new equipment isn't necessary.

A very nice camera, I have it for many years. The size makes it perfect for streetphotography or when hiking. And it did a good job, when I started making videos.

Another great video man. Not everyone has flagship +$3000 cameras especially ones that are just starting or don’t do videography for a living to justify upgrading cameras all the time. knowing your camera and the user behind it is the most important thing. I just got done watching some of your EOS M videos and even some older travel videos you’ve done in your channel for the first time. You got a magic eye man. Maybe you can share some of your recent projects and maybe a little insight on it?

Nice video. The E-M10 II is a little gem of a camera. I used to keep it and the three Sigma art primes (19mm, 30mm and 60mm.) in a small case behind my car seat.

What I found is that these cameras are best in natural sunlight and a huge help is to nail white balance in camera, or get as close to the correct WB as possible. Also, KZbin destroys uploads with compression, so just keep testing what looks best. This way I managed to get decent footage ouf of an old C100 which is only 1080p and low bitrate. That's not a bad camera though :D

Hi man, I've been watching your videos for a while and decided to pick up an E-M1 Mark II with the 12-40 f2.8. What lens filter setup would you reccomend? I was thinking of buying K&F 72mm black mist (1/4) and 1-9 stops ND filter, though I've also seen them start to sell a combined filter of the two. Would you reccomend that I use the separate or combined filters, and should I buy 72mm or 77mm filters? (considering that I intend to buy a few other lenses in the future)

The lack of a mic input (let alone a headphone jack) is a real problem for this camera. I would advise finding a used E-M5 Mark II or (even better) an E-M1 Mark II on the cheap instead. They're still small and quite affordable on the used market.
@ClassicCOD Жыл бұрын
is the E-M5 mark 1 any good? Im really just looking for the stabilization and low light, the Mark 2 is abit expensive atm. I used to have a GX85 but its literally doubled in price

The biggest thing is to make an emotional connection with the viewer; sharpness isn’t going to do that, much like in photography. Use a sharper lens like the Pany Leica 15mm f1.7 or the 25mm f1.4 if you want sharp...

Nice episode - as always, well made. It’s good, if these kind of cameras was sitting on the shelf, lying idle - and u want to have some fun again. But, in the reality - all these cams have become obsolete. To somehow stay afloat these days, u need to have 4K. Anything below 4K has become a toy. Full HD looks not so good, even on the small screens of phones - not to mention big screens. There’s no reason, to buy old camera - because u have to buy, some glass to it, batteries, flash card and tripod - all these old things becomes bulky and attracts many attention. The correct solution would be to by iPhone or even GoPro 11, to have some decent quality - and all will be in your pocket. If the task is to have interchangeable lenses, then it is better to save up and take a normal camera right away - with Full Frame sensor, 4K without cropping.

That's a lot of nonsense. You need 4K to stay afloat? What does that even mean? And this camera, with a fast (large aperture) lens can be had for 350 dollars (or less) if you shop around, which is way cheaper than an iphone, cheaper than the GoPro 11, and this (or similar) has a much larger sensor and more versatility, Plus better ergonomics. Are there drawbacks? Is it bigger and bulkier? Sure. But deciding that an expensive phone or a little action camera with their own drawbacks (small sensors, crappy ergonomics, higher price, lack of lens flexibility) is the "right" solution just makes amazingly little sense.

Haha. Kids these days. Osaka senior here enjoying the immersive experience of my hobby. Challenging myself with technique and composition. My hands on the controls. A free hobby for life.. once the used gear is acquired. Gets me out walking. Meeting folks. As an artist myself, I even find my iPhone 15 pro too sharp and clinical. 🤷🏻♀️
