Sharp watches. Omega seriously needs to redesign their Seamaster range. Sorely outdated aesthetic. They should review some of these pieces from the past.

If Omega would make a modern version of the Seamaster 300 with the sword hands, they could literally print money. This watch from the original company with new production technology and modern components would be a massive success and a true milestone in watchmaking. Modern Omegas are nice (I own two right now) but a modern Submariner 300 version would be the same like the Submariner, only Rolex never stopped producing their flagship model. They just kept going. Omega did not. I have no idea why Omega does not produce some kind of a „Classic Line“, so to speak.

That's a really nice book. All your watches have a really lovely shiny interior movement. Do you polish all the pieces, when you dismantle them ? I will be picking up my watch next week, when I fly home, after 3 long months ! It's been in for a full service clean. I will ask the shop to open the back, before I pay, to see if it is shiny, like yours. What do you think ?

The movement of a watch is usually quite shiny to begin with. But the ultrasonic cleaning solution will make it shinier. Never polish the movement parts!

I was always into the Burgundy Seeamaster 60, I had no idea it was the rarer one of the bunch. It looks great on that BoR bracelet.

Interesting episode. Again I learned. I hope to see more of the Omega divers on OE site in the future. These SM60s are very attractive. I kick myself for not grabbing that Seamaster 120, but now I know for next time. Great book! Illustrations are wonderful. Looks first rate. Thanks for sharing.
