As a teacher, more often than not we are hoping that you will just talk with your kiddo when there’s an incident at school. It’s best if the parents and teachers are a work as team, which it sounds like that’s exactly what you did. Also, it’s so normal for kids to push boundaries the first few days. It sounds like Ocean is super smart, so she’s probably just trying to figure out the rules and what she can or can’t do. I’m sure her teachers still adore her ❤

I love you Lala, and as a teacher I was cringing every time you said O would not clean and got away with it. You take the lead. Teach her how to clean up (a learned skill). It’s only going to get worse from here, if you don’t teach her to expect to clean up, 100% of the time. That way, it’s a reward to not have to clean and she learns empathy for those who have cleaning as their job.

I love you and Ambers friendship! My ex and I didn’t work, but his first wife and I are besties, and I get to spend time with my step daughters too! They love my son so much, and when I adopted him they were so excited to have a brother and he’s got another Auntie! I can’t wait for her wedding because I get to make her glam, as I’m a makeup artist, for her big day!

Our 9 year old daughter did the same thing at her other house, our house and school. Her other house she doesn't have to clean or do anything. She got it and Ocean will get it over time, just takes time!

Ocean will transition into her Bed eventually. Some children just take some time to New transitions and milestones. Baby coming soon will help her feel like a big sister and a big helper for mommy❤

Hey y'all! I'm a chef who has worked in child nutrition and I need to share that there are 2 great substitutes for Peanut Butter - tahini (sesame seed paste. A little goes a long way) and sunflower seed butter (also known as Sunbutter. Best flavor and easy to make at home in like 5 minutes). These are served as substitutes in schools.

Lmfao you have to address the bad behavior at home as well, punishment will always just depend on the crime. Your kid is ALWAYS going to do something that shocks you at school whether it’s good or bad. It doesn’t have to be horrendous but my kid is entering preteen era and he’s putting me through the wringer…teen boys are so hormonal and gross.
