Passed my driving test in a Bedford c.a in 1971 loved the 4 speed box, up and back for first away and down second etc, had to take the inside engine cover off a few times when she got hot, fuel line started playing up , we got rid after quite a few mouthfulls of petrol when sucking the fuel up from the tank, good memories, regards from Yorkshire

TBH It looks like a pick up truck front end, an added bit behind that then a long wheelbase camper van all stitched to gether but nicely.. Off subject I once made a THAMES 15 CWT recovery truck by using a pick up truck frot and a van chassis stitched in with ramps/ recovery bed full length. that also worked out very well... Done the same with Transits a few years later..

Rootes had two styles of 1725's, one was upright fitted in the Minx, Super Minx with a cast iron head, the Alpine, Rapier & Sceptre had aluminium heads, the Hunter/Minx (Arrow Range) had cast or alloy heads but they were fitted on a 10% angle so as to fit under the bonnet

Thought there was something wrong with the camera lens until you pointed out it was extended, it would certainly be one well worth displaying at a show.

UJ is a Shropshire registration so might be worth looking at old coach builders around there
@tutsywutsy3 жыл бұрын
That's a replacement number issued by dvla . XUJ is a re registration that dvla use to replace when the original number is transferred to another vehicle.
