If the show fails, it ain't on any one of these actors. They feel genuine. They are all likable. They don't go off on some weird social media agenda like we see so many actors doing. They are all happy to be there. Even if luffy's actor does some cringe or cornball things, I think it's from the heart. Fingers crossed

Another example if you notice how dry Mackenyu's IG is (nothing but basic work promotion) whereas compared to the other cast who posts personal stuff.

Zoro's actor, Mackenyu was as quiet and shy as he is now in Japan. However, there are quite a few Japanese who are so quiet. There are many people who are culturally bad at loud movements and vocalizations. Being there peacefully doesn't prove he's not open to the team. My English is poor, but I would be happy if the misunderstanding of Mackenyu from overseas could be eased even a little.

Sanji and Usopp are my favorites from the live action crew. I'm mexican and I appreciate Inaki representing and being THE Monkey D. Luffy but I agree with Brago, sometimes I'm just like quit talking bro. Meanwhile Sanji and Usopp seem super chill, especially Sanji. Nami is cool, Zoro didn't say a word. Sorry I don't remember their real names, it's just easier to call them by their character names.

I'm not sure how much Mackenyu got to interact with the cast much during filming, maybe thats why the chemistry isn't there. People need to remember his father who was a famous actor Sonny Chiba passed away during filming. Sonny Chiba was in Kill Bill (Hattori Hanzo) and Fast & Furious Tokyo drift & also in many other Japanese films. Maybe his father's passing (Covid complication), probably explains why we didn't see any pictures of him with the cast that entire time when videos & photos were posted of the crew together minus him, all hanging out. He also had other projects going on too. Or maybe it's just his personality to be like that with them all being very energetic which makes it seem like he's the odd one out.
