To me Zeff was the best adapted character that perfectly resembles the manga character and also fits perfectly into the live action. Luffy, Sanji, Mihawk, they were all excellenty adapted but you can see how they had to change them just a little bit to fit into the live action world, but Zeff is just perfect, and I'd say Nami, Koby, Helmeppo and Buggy are kind of like that as well.

I think the scene that really sold the Shanks actor for me was the last scene when Mihawk showed him Luffy’s wanted poster. His joy in that scene perfectly encapsulated what I think of when it comes to Shanks.

lol no, fights will not be realy long in the live action. It will looks stupid, will be too expensive and i say boring for most people. It is about story, message and characters. Those episode long fights will not work at all outside of anime. I would even say even in anime its a bit stupid and too looong. Both Impel down and Marinefort are 30 episodes. If you realy think what happened in marine fort. There is not that much stuff, Anime battles are just long, back and fort. Repeated, but plot ? Whitebeard shows up there are skirmishing all over the place nothing is realy happening most of the time tho. They Ozz comes, they take him down more skirmishing. They can easily do all the stuff before Luffy comes in like 30min. If they can maybe one episode before Luffy falls from the sky. Some setup some power showed by admirals and whitebear + marco + jozu etc. some skirmishing with random soldiers on both sides. When Luffy shows up we will have Buggy stuff, Crocodile stuff, Luffy stuff. Conquers haki. Maybe episode end there ? (like another wtf moment). Next episode we have some more fighting Luffy standoff vs admirals some skirmishing again Ace "saved" Ace died.. Jimbei saves Luffy - Law saves luffy,Black beard stuff, Coby stuff with Haki , Shanks shows up Sengoku says its over, episode ends.. Law , Jimbei, Boa , Luffys meltdowns they he can go with ring a bell to send message ... I can see this season to be Amazon Lily, Impell down, Marine fort and more character stuff from rest of the crew members- its like 2 2 3 1 -episodes (originaly there supose to be Gao kingomd (ace, sabo,luffy) I think it will be better do have it before Marine fort or even in between like they do them at Season one for their

The idea to exchange all the wacky tabacky proportions and physical appearances in One Piece for people of all different races, nationalities, and accents was frankly ingenious. Talk about a perfect way to make the world feel huge and distinct. And some of the casting as a result was perfect. Until I saw an image of him again, I forgot that Lucky Roo wasn't black in the manga after watching the live action.

In my opinion, I liked how Nami was portrayed in the live-action, but the thing that makes me feel like she's not the best isn't the actor herself, it's just how expressive they made her. In the anime, she's more out there but in the anime, she's calmer and more reserved and isn't very expressive. I just hope in later episodes that they fix that about her.
