My word, what a variety of trout in such a small stream. I wish i could get tired of catching so many in one day. Pure flyfishing el dorado, you got there drew. I wish we could fish so freely here in Germany. When I retire then i think i have to calculate a couple of extra months in the US when travelling my rv there.

Great video, as they all are. I REALLY like the narration that you do as a post edit describing the situation and what you're seeing/ doing. The on-the-spot videos and audio are great too but I think i prefer this format

Hey Drew love your videos. I have a non fishing question. You fish in a lot of remote areas. You don't seem worried about encountering grizzly bears. What plan do you have in place, to protect you from an attack?

LOVE the content man! Your videos actually inspired me to take a western fly fishing / bird hunting trip 2 weeks ago. Flew out from little old New Hampshire and spent 10 days road tripping / dispersed camping around Utah, Idaho, Montana, and Wisconsin. Caught my biggest rainbow on a fly rod to date! Keep up the awesome vids, you are an inspiration as to what is possible with some camping gear and a fishing rod :)

Nothing's better on a cool brisk autumn mornings with a little anglers coffee solo in solitude and a backcountry stream fueling the days imagination of what lurks in those willows and bever ponds. Man I love that area Drew,. Keep on keeping the journey on the path of the righteous streamlife sanctuary. Live'n it up, and wrapping up another spectacular video. Well done Buddy!

Drew great video as usual, you have inspired me to try other streams/rivers out of my comfort zone and the rewards have been a lot of fun. My 4 weight is a Reddington CT and it is great for pure dry flies but just can't turn over a heavier hopper dropper set up accurately. What do you use for your 4 and 5 weight?

Very surprising that such a small stream can support so many trout. I'm learning here that I need to slow down and try harder.

So many decades of blowing up beaver dams…. Now we realize that the beaver dams help to mitigate droughts, which we will be experiencing more and more with climate change. Great video!

I'm glad most of our small streams in the pnw haven't been inundated with invasive species, but the native fish, like coastal cutts, that are there are just dinky... Either that or you're just catching coho and steelhead smolt.

Its your fault Drew Ross. I've stopped fishing with my spinning rod and a bubble and purchased my first fly rod. A Redington Path, 9' 4 weight. I live in Ventura so i need to also get a heavier rig for the salt water; But i REALLY love the Sierras and in about 3 more years I'll be freed up (God willing) to get up there alot more and into Idaho, and Utah.

Just a comment on cutthroats. They are not "dumb". They are aggressive, in fact the most aggressive of all the trout we fish for in the U.S.

What's up y'all or what's up guys. It's such a turn off to hear another video by someone starting off this way. I think you took some nice video of some pretty fish and scenery, but I didn't learn a thing. You mentioned using a 4wt rod, and kud'a used a 3, but I fished enough to know such water could be fun fished with any tenkara rod or a 0-6wt fly rod or light spinning rod. Fishing porn. OK. I didn't need to watch it. You're right.
