I purchased 1 of these in July , i was just 2 months away from my 65th birthday. With regards to the rear doors , the small rear windows make you concentrate more. With 3 different drive modes you can go green , have fun , or go stupid , the choice is yours ! ... You dont have to turn the steering much to point it in the right direction which for some people may take a bit of getting used to.

You complained about the Nav being small although there is a larger display available as for the boot you can also move the floor up to give a larger space

Get the adaptive suspension option. Select sports mode and turn the traction control off, it makes such a difference. Had mine for just over 10 months now and I love it🤗😜

BMW/MINI is usually conservative with stats if their cars. MINI enthusiasts have clocked this car achieving 4.5 secs on 0-100. So it is faster than or comparably as fast as much more expensive cars like the Porsche Macan and all but one engine on the Jaguar F-Pace (the expensive SRV does it in 4.1secs). So if you compare its price to those the JCW is actually a very reasonably priced car.

You said it in the video, it’s quirky. The bar in the back door when driving doesn’t really get in the way. Your camera view is a bit misleading in this case as when viewed through the mirror it’s more like the view shown when you’re driving. Plus there’s two wing mirrors and also a reversing camera. Agree with the driving, it’s great fun. A bit hard around town and I find the brakes brilliant but grabby at low speeds such as in traffic. Cheers.

Hi Sean , in England i got my jcw mini clubman in july this year , the only extra it does not have is lights in the footwell , price £39k , dont know what that is in dollars

Spotted something really funny in the manual , it says to get through a tight spot you can fold the mirrors in , common sense should tell you that if the gap is that tight you should not even be attempting to get through it .Another quick safety alert the led's for the heated seats are on the top edge and hard to see , by default they go to full power and get hot very quick

Why oh why do people go on about the size of the boot, the barn doors limiting the view etc: etc:.........IT'S A MINI.!!!! They have always had a small boot, the minivan and clubman of the original had double doors at the rear. People who buy them expect these idiosyncrasies, THAT'S why we buy them.

Hello monty zumazoom ..... i got the adaptive suspension , the salesman said that the only option mine does not have is lighting in the footwells , unless he was giving me BS he said i cant choose what this car has got if i went onto the website , he went on to say only 1 of this spec per dealer but as i say he may have been giving me BS. or maybe thats why it cost £39k ... not tried traction off yet.

in a previous posting i said the only thing my car does not have is lighting in the footwell , i was wrong ! I drove it in the dark for the first time yesterday. I discovered it has red lighting in the footwell and under the rear seats. It also has blue led on the inside of the door handles and white led on the outside of the door handle. The only thing i dont like is the light or in some cases an alarm going off when it thinks you are too close to something ... example traveling in lane 1 on motorway how could i be too close to a queue of traffic on a slip road ???

The 300 horse Clubman JCW is way way more fun to drive than the Golf R, design, build quality is as good as it gets, unlike Mercedes these days. BUT It’s still a Mini FGS. The heads up display is brilliant and as for hard seats and legroom it’s a Mini fgs. Open the rear doors with the handles if your kids are left to wander about 🙄. Run the car in Mid mode if the car is too stiff for you, as the performance is still the same. Genuinely odd nitpicky review for what is a wow of a vehicle.

Plus the standard 3dr Mini hatch is for the young without children. The Clubman is available for the exact reason of people growing up and having kids but still liking Mini.
