The one trick that entirely changed my photography?

I just realised I didn't mention this: zone focussing works well with manual lenses, but if you have a modern camera with autofocus lenses it's also possible. You can either set the lens to manual focus or and that's what I prefer, prefocus on an object close to you and keep the shutter button pressed and reframe.
