You did so good! I've never done a 'thon', but I think I'd get interrupted way too often by kids and animals and end up missing hours lol

I definitely want to dedicate 6 hours straight to my rough draft, but it's so hard after working 40 hours a week and using the weekend as catch-up/relax time. I might try it during winter when weather worst and won't be traveling as much. Always love your vlogs!

I hear you! I definitely couldn’t do this every day or even every week, but I learned that I am very capable of showing up for my art in a dedicated and significant way and that’s inspiring me to find a way to incorporate that into my life that’s more sustainable. It’s totally worth a try when you’re able to, it gave me such a sense of pride and motivation! 🥹

19:30 lol. I'm the same way. I've tried writing at starbucks a few times, but anytime someone can see what's on my screen, it totally takes me out.

Way to go with your 24 hour writing vlog. I have tried this before sort of where I wrote for half an hour and read for half an hour. I love writing challenges. That keyboard is really cute. I have one similar in a maroon and gray color.

Thank you! And yess, I’d love to try a 24 hour challenge where I alternate between writing and reading, that’s so great! Ooh maroon and grey sounds so pretty!

great progress! That was incredible and I'm glad you got to do that! I have never done it for writing (closest I got was two all-nighters) but I have done a 24 hour reading challenge. It might have been pre-youtube for me because I did it on Instagram (I think it's now one of my highlights actually!) It was a lot of fun but I definitely didn't prepare as nicely as I wish I did (I just kind of grabbed random short books and i hated three of them lol)

good job on completing such a cool challenge!! 6 hours of dedicated writing each day is super productive for sure:D I like to set aside 'writing days' myself for this exact purpose, just getting a lot done in as little time as possible, and it does tend to work pretty well. cheering you on as you finish the rest of your chapters!
@DianeMariee3 ай бұрын
Thank you so much! And yes, I’ve certainly learned a lot from this experiment that I want to incorporate into building a productive writing routine/practice. I think setting aside days where writing is priority for a few hours is so helpful. 🥹

In the voice of Inigo Montoya: "I do not think 24 hours means what you think it means". In fairness, I wouldn't write for 24 hours straight, either.
