writing vlog ⛅️ creative ruts, finding balance, and prioritizing writing again

Ah, yes. The creative rut. Not only is it a rite of passage for us creatives, but it’s an inevitability that nobody can escape. It’ll spring up out of the ground like a premeditated ambush and hold you hostage until you can get to the root of the matter.
In my case, I realized my creative rut wasn't a creative rut as much as it was an expression of work-related burnout. This vlog covers my journey of coming to terms with this, and slowly regaining some traction.

Felt so seen!! It’s been a struggle picking my manuscript back up. Took a break in June and the summer just continued to be so so busy. And now into Fall, I’m slowly getting back into writing. What a gorgeous vlog! Your nature shots are so lovely. We're also in a tiny home whilst building a property (in the UK), and trying to write at the same time is... challenging. I've been vlogging the process somewhat erratically, but like you, I find myself taking looong breaks from social media and struggling to go back. I suppose I might find balance one day, but I suspect I'd end up being bored!

Ah for me it's the opposite of your type of job. My job is not even remotely creative, it's just a bunch of filtering data until my mind is basically mush and cannot function any longer, and creativity is hard to come by after 8 hours of that. Dunno how to help myself at this point :')
