Shout out to Mak for mentioning Alex Morgan!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! One of the Goat's for the uswnt!!!! The surprise I got from her even saying Alex's name was huge!!!!! As a 33 year old trans man who loves all sports, especially women's soccer, seeing the confusion on Ashley and Alayna's faces is hilarious!!!!! Come on girls- you've got to get on in to the hype of the USWNT (and NWSL)!!!!

La La Land was really good. And very bittersweet. I loved the musical so much, and it made me feel nostalgic because it’s SO much about broken love and chances missed that people don’t take. I find myself sometimes humming City of Stars 😭 So many don’t seem to enjoy it, but like. It hits my heart! It’s so very well done
@avantikakulkarni59713 ай бұрын
I’m ecstatic Ashley mentioned La La Land! Listening to their soundtrack is my guilty pleasure. Another day of sun when I’m getting ready to get to work, City of stars when I’m feeling wistful or yearning something and the song that punches me in the gut is The Audition song! It just GOT me. The part about her aunt who “lived in her liquor and died with a flicker” yep gets to me in a profound way

When you are struggling to survive, sports give you something to get excited about. And if you work hard enough as a kid, you can bring your family out of poverty. It's a tool used to distract poor folks from demanding equality. Growing up on Louisiana, football was such an important part of life. It was something to survive the work week for.

Soccer is an amazing sport too! Generally fast paced, not very hard to understand in terms of rules and/or technique and with the biggest following and fanbase which makes it super fun to watch (if you disregard the non-sport things that surround it like violence etc).

Ashley since you're a Swiftie you probably know this but just on the off chance you don't, in the song Marjorie, Taylor's Grandma(Marjorie) actually sings in the final parts of the song..when Taylor sings"And if I didn't know better I'd think you were singing to me now" that's when she sings😢 Swift credited her grandmother with backing vocals which were sampled in the track. This fact gets me even more 😢

He said that guys would be in their 30's and 40's and can't run or function in some way because of an old football injury or something. Sports are like my chosen family as straight man, but I get it. The concussions issue is a major issue that sports like football, hockey, and soccer need to find a way to mitigate. Also, football is soooooo slow, so I completely understand. Most football I consume is through something called NFL redzone. It's basically like if you got the important parts of a tv series season without all the filler and no ads. It's pretty neat and entertaining.

i'm not gonna defend addison rae (sp?) but i think ashley's off the mark with her criticism of sentence structure for the song. It may be especially bad here, but flipping sentence structure to emphasize different parts of words for either meaning or syllables in poetry (or songs (poetry)) is pretty common. the fact that she did it period isn't bad, it would only be HOW she did it that would make it bad. i have not, am not, and will not listen to the song to see if i agree or disagree about its quality tho xD love you guys

if she used these intentionally it would be okay, but its pretty damn clear it was done sloppily for the rhyme.
