You two…the video of this roller coaster day is priceless! Scary, but also hilarious with you two yelling out to the bears. Love it. This is one of those days when I am so thankful you are not alone.

It was nice meeting you yesterday. These were the crazy encounters you were talking about. As if trail conditions weren’t bad enough…then throw in wildlife and the road to nowhere. You two need to do the amazing race after what you’ve been through together.

I did exactly what Cody did when I ran into an aggressive moose; tree shield. After what Fuji experienced, I'm relieved you 2 chose the safest passage. 😊 Very smaht hikahs and I'm proud of you both. ✌️

What a day! Exciting wildlife sightings of the moose and bear. Compliments to you both for taking the safe route around the water crossing, even though it added miles. Nice, warm campfire there at the end!

Between the water crossings and rain, you had 2 moose and a few bears. That's a win. Scary but cool. That road walk was torture, but you're both safe. Thanks for sharing.

Incredible wildlife encounters! That baby bear was adorbs but definitely scary in regards to the anticipated adult in the area! I'm really glad you take a safety-first approach! 🌸🧡

Taylor, I’m glad you and Cody stayed safe. Good call. This was wildlife day on the AT, wasn’t it?! Wow! Also, I’m liking the GoPro vs the iPhone. 🤫 I love my iPhone, but not the camera. 🤣

Ah, here it is. Man road walking stinks. It's so much harder than trail. Glad you guys didn't chance it. Sometimes all it takes is one night's wait for water levels to come down, but sometimes they don't!

Wow, what a rough day! That road walk looked so tiring. I'm going on some adventuring of my own tomorrow, out of the country for three weeks, so I won't be able to finish watching all the videos before I go. But I'll catch up when I come back, never fear!

Taylor, your flogs are viewed by so many people and along with your years of experience you are an ambassador to the Hikeing world and more pacifically, through through hikers and potential through hikers, so making good decisions, and not to put your life or health into great danger is a responsibility that you have to be an example.

It’s been a long time since I was able to hike, so watching through your videos is amazing. Seeing the moose, I remember jumping behind a tree when a moose came charging downhill on a trail I was on in the White Mountain Ntl Forest, and it continued passed me, and it was so unexpected that I didn’t see it yet it charged from out of nowhere. Seeing the baby bear, well I have a momma bear and three cubs on my land, and love watching them except when they want to play on my car. Oh...and those socks, I love them, where can I find a pair? Thank you for posting your journey, it was magnificent and incredible to watch, truly, you rock!!!

That's a brutal road walk but sometimes we gotta do it! I was lucky this year when I went through the area in early September and some how avoided high rivers and the worst of the weather. Keep going though!

Years ago, I was in Alaska with my kids and we were on a bike ride. My 5 year old almost ran directly into a moose. Fortunately, since he was up in front of me with his grandma, she was able to tell him to STOP! Yikes. I didn't know that moose kill more people than bears, and the first day I was in Alaska, I went to a run, and there was a huge moose. I wasn't afraid of it at all because of my lack of experience. I'd say we both got lucky. Especially you and the baby bear.

The lazy me would have probably had a hard time justifying 17 extra miles of walking and I would have been really tempted by the dangerous river crossing.

Wherever you go and whatever you do your life is always at risk. You could reduce your risk from wildlife by carrying a gun. I always carry bear spray but that won't work against a charging Moose and I'm not sure it would even work against a mad bear

Then carry a Glock subcompact, floaties and a InReach... Almost certain you then won't lose your life... Unless you forget to factor in food and water.. :p Good on you (not surprised) to recognize the dangers of a young cub.. Too many ignants would have run to catch it, even off the road.. I think they matriculate from Yellowstone trying to bison selfie tipping (Cow tipping)...
