I lost a very good friend of mine three years ago to epilepsy. From when she was diagnosed at 7 years old, she was having grand mal fits. We actually met three years ago when she moved in next to me and we got on really well. Every time she got an aura (for anyone who doesn't know, it's like a physical warning system that a fit is going to happen). My friend would get really anxious and smell very strange smells. She would come to my house and within a minute of my opening the door, she would be on the floor fitting. I'd make sure she was safe and then time the fits whilst calling an ambulance. The day that she died, she started fitting and just didn't stop. That's known as status epilepticus. By the time that she arrived at A&E (ER for US subscribers) she had been fitting constantly for 15 minutes and as her brain was so starved of oxygen she went into cardiac arrest and she never came back. Goodbye my beautiful Beverly. I miss you so much even now.

Calling Onision insane is actually an insult to the insane. Insanity generally entails being deluded to such an extent that you're incapable of recognizing your actions as wrong. One of the unfortunately often neglected points in all of this is how his kids are affected. I live and work maybe 10 minutes away from him and one of my coworkers once came and asked me if I’d ever heard of him, then went on to say that their kids were in the same class and when all the parents found out who these people were they completely banned their kids from hanging out (outside of school, for her at least)- which while I pointed out was a bit harsh for the little ones, they were all better off not having associated themselves with onionboy and co. They’re in junior high/high school now so hopefully it’s easier for them to make friends under the radar, but it’s a real small/tight knit town and without doubt they got to hear second-hand from their classmates exactly why they couldn’t go play at the park together or attend parties. Don’t get me wrong, I found it hilarious watching this degenerates life spiral out and end in temper tantrums, but when you step back and realize the current generation of parents also grew up online it’s just really sad he’s so willing to wreck his kids social lives, arguably for nothing more than rage-baiting without financial gain at a certain point.

If I'm not mistaken, the water head thing came from one of Greg's long gone videos where he talked about childhood illnesses, trying to score some pity points in the wake of Billie leaving him. He listed Hydrocephaly as one of the diseases he had as a child. Water on the brain - water head. Kiwi Farms popularized calling him that. Jaclyn Glenn and Social Repose were dating, but not married. I've read fanfic by literal 12 year old kids who wrote better than Onion. I noticed that Onion hasn't mentioned the Special Forces stuff in quite some time. Could be that's considered Stolen Valor, which at the very least will not go down well with real military. I'm surprised you didn't add in Andy Biersack, lead singer of Black Veil Brides. Greg was a huge fan of BVB, went to a couple of shows, got a picture with Andy, then interviewed him. The interview was the stupidest waste of time ever committed to pixels, And Andy is a smart, business savvy dude. He ghosted Onion shortly after, which led to another infamous meltdown. Onion then posted a "skit" of him, uh, doing very nasty things to an effigy of Andy. All in all, a very good video. Give yourself a pat on the back, you deserve it.

Her videos on Onion Man’s books were my first introduction to her channel. I don’t remember any direct quotes but I’m pretty sure that he implied that she had an attraction to him, despite her being gay. There was a lot of that and I think even a part about how men wouldn’t like her because she’s whiny. (This is from my memory) He also (100% certain of this part) said that she was making fun of his dead friend because she critiqued a poorly written character that she didn’t know was based off of one of his late friends. He also spent most of the video coming after her as a person and her looks, rather than her critiques. The funny part was that she was around 19, and she handled it with a lot omnipresent grace and maturity than he ever could. Dude, I was one of the people who got interviewed by Chris Hansen (Holly of the OnisionHurtsPeople Tumblr blog), and he pretty much didn't do anything with all the information I gave him, the information that other KZbinrs gave him, the information that Shiloh gave him, the information that Billie gave him, or the information that Sarah gave him - all he did was make a few KZbin videos. He didn't even cover the full story; and he actually, at one point, said that he was going to help put Onision in jail. He also, on his channel, interviewed an attorney about this case (I believe his name is Mike Morse). And now he's moved on to "investigating" Dahvie Vanity (Dahvie is a trash human being as well, in my opinion). Repzion did more work than Chris did - even people like Blaire White did more work than Chris did, and all she did was pick apart his "logic". Pretty much everybody on KZbin who even remotely followed this case did more work than he did, such as Edwin's Generation; all Edwin did was make a handful of videos, and they STILL contained more information than what Chris Hansen presented. I believe that he was just using this case to rebuild his career. He dropped the story as soon as he could no longer profit from it, leaving people like Sarah trying to pick up the pieces. Onision and Chris Hansen are both self-serving trash, in my humble opinion. 🗑 Edit: the Discovery+ documentary was a dumpster fire, too, incidentally. It left out a lot of key information, and only one of Onisions' v*ctims was in it (Shiloh). That documentary left out like, 2/3rds of the people that Onision v*ctimized, such as Billie and Sarah. Sarah refused to be involved if Chris Hansen was, and they ended up picking him over her (dude, what?!). I actually never even published any of my work on KZbin (I used Tumblr), and even I did more work than he did. Edit 2: my interview with Chris Hansen got deleted because the comment section was nothing but people speculating that I was a drug addict who was injecting Xanax into my knuckles (???), in case anybody is curious about why it isn't available anymore. Chris Hansen did almost nothing. He didn't even get the whole story right. And some of the people who weren't in the documentary were people that he actually interviewed about this on his channel (Billie), so he did this on purpose just to make money. He was just using this story as a way to rebuild his career; and, in my opinion, Discovery+ is just using this case as a way to make money, too - and yet everyone attacked Sarah for opening a GoFundMe to ask for money for a laptop that she was using for school. They attacked her so much that she ended up deleting the GoFundMe and returning all of the money. This story got so ridiculous after a while that I just stopped following it - spectators started attacking Sarah and Shiloh, v*ctims of Onision started attacking each other, Onision himself attacked Billie, Ayalla, and Shiloh (and everyone just went along with it, for some reason), Chris Hansen was f*cking with Sarah, and Onision himself was f*cking with Sarah, too. I feel awful for her. Pretty much the only person who never got involved with this whole mess was Billie, although she did do an interview with Chris Hansen before we knew what a piece of self-serving trash he is. Edit 3: My Tumblr blog is OnisionHurtsPeople, if anybody wants to see. Pretty much everybody who spoke out against Onision got attacked in some way; even spectators like myself got attacked for speaking out (either by the public or by Onision). The entire comment section of my interview was full of people trying to discredit me, arguing that I'm a drug addict who injects Xanax into my knuckles (???), arguing that I'm incapable of being impartial because Shiloh and I are both from the same country (Canada), arguing that I'm a fan of Shiloh (I'm not; I actually listen to metal) and will therefore defend her no matter what; and people started leaving those comments within about 5 minutes, even though my interview was almost 40 minutes long. They didn't even have time to watch the whole interview before they started leaving comments trying to discredit me. The impression that I get from all of this is that people view this case as entertainment. Onision and Chris Hansen are both self-serving trash, in my humble opinion.

I regretfully admit that I was an Onision fan back in the day. I was there during the banana song, Shiloh's breakdowns, all of that mess. I sat here painting with you in the background and kept thinking to myself "What the fuck was teenage me thinking?" Then again, I was also a Shane Dawson fan, so... But yeah. While most of this wasn't technically news to me, I am thoroughly disgusted having seen it all laid out in one place at one time. This was beautiful, and thank you for your sacrifice, Fraser. The one thing that is engrained in my brain about onion man is his completely weird, creepy, dramatic obsession with Andy Biersack/Andy Sixx/Andy Black/lead singer of the band Black Veil Brides. I specifically remember that when Andy got engaged or married to Juilet Simms, he filmed himself having a breakdown that while it was obviously scripted, it was equally disturbing to my child self. From what I can remember - I was like 11-12 i think, he filmed himself sobbing and "drowning" himself in a bathtub and the video continued after his body went still. Did I just imagine that video? if so, then jesus christ onion boy really fucked up my brain.

And some thing I’m shocked didn’t make the iceberg. 1) Greg’s obsession with Andy Biersack (lead singer of black veil brides) to the point he actually ended up making a couple videos with Andy 2) forcing his dogs to be vegan and being very grossly defensive of it (the animal abuse runs deep) 3) his many many other skits always mocking the worst things with the absolute worst characters I could imagine 4) his really weird obsession and defensiveness of yaoi

I was the same, as a 13-15 year old I was so invested in his rate my body series because he had convinced me it was "body positivity" when all he was doing was either perving on or bullying vulnerable girls like me. Same thing happened to me. It seems he has a thing for targeting young vulnerable teenagers as an audience . We can’t blame our younger selfs though.He was a wolf in sheep’s clothing who knew how to take advantage of our young minds. But now he doesn’t have that power anymore thankfully
@LaydiNite Жыл бұрын
@@BlueOwlsFly Most teens are more easily swayed and oblivious to warning signs than they realize at the time. It's really easy for charismatic predators to take advantage of them, especially by targeting their insecurities. That's also what makes the "rate your body" thing so insidious. There's a tactic that "pick-up artists" use where they will subtly insult women to try to lower their self-esteem to make them more vulnerable and receptive to advances, and I can't help but feel that was similar to what Onion was trying to do with those videos.

I watched him when I was like 10-12, when his whole death note series came out. And being the inconspicuous kid I was, just kept watching because he was funny to me. It wasn't until around 2019 to 2018 I think all the allegations really reached their fever pitch and Onision became the villain of KZbin for a while, and at the beginning of the allegations I didn't really "care", as I still thought he was making good content. Crazy how kids think honestly. There's this strange detachment where if someone is funny or entertaining, the kid will almost always attribute that to them somehow also being trustworthy or a good person. Like a celebrity halo effect or something.

I used to watch this guy. In fact, I only stopped because he slagged off some KZbinrs I loved, just by a stroke of luck. I was too young to realise the effect that he could’ve had on my self esteem. We’ll never know the exact damage he’s done to others, but I know that watching his videos made me a more bitter and intolerant person. Thank you so much for this video, it needs putting out there and I’ve lost track of all the terrible things he’s done. I just feel for his children!

I only stopped watching him because... I don’t even know. It just kind of happened, but I was 12 at the time and I didn’t know any of this stuff.

I hate that I know a majority of the stuff on this iceberg just casually looking into it from time to time throughout the years. Here's hoping that the lawsuit puts him and Kai into prison for good this time.

I have never been able to sit and watch a full video about onion boy..... But here we are, full video watched. I commend you for doing this and I really hope after jumping down that gross rabbit hole you had a shower to wash off all the filth you had to go through making this and then slept for at least a week. ❤

Beans!! So grateful for this video thank you so much. The best commentator youtuber out there, the amount of effort and research you put in!Honestly i came across this guy when i was 12 and i didnt realise how impactful his statements was until i developed more and became more aware of myself, its so scary that the mindset that he influenced on myself. He’s always been so creepy to me, especially when he did those videos of rating young girls. So icky🤮

I truly have not seen anybody bring up a lot of these topics in AGES, it feels like a "lack of accountability" list just as much as it feels like an iceberg, congrats on getting all this done, what a large bout of work!

I was around watching him in the Skye-Shiloh days, I was super bummed when Skye left cos she was great in videos and I stopped watching pretty much just after he had been with Kai for a few months before they transitioned and if I remember correctly, those videos of Shilohs breakdown were definite not delete straight away, they got left up for a really, really long time… Skye had been in pretty much all his videos when they were married too
@DanielleStarry Жыл бұрын
That was part of Skye’s argument for getting alimony: she worked on the channel, and he wanted to cheat her out of the profit

The amount of pet hair you’re covered in is somehow a perfect visual for the insanity of this iceberg. 😂 Honestly relatable as hell. Edit: Oh my god “Tosh Zero” 😂 It’s “Tosh Point Oh”. Absolutely nobody liked the show and it doesn’t deserve to be remembered, but that “zero” caused my brain to hard-reset 😂

Watched the whole vid! I'm glad you were able to compile most of what you've covered previously on your channel, which is how I found you. You also managed to shed light on things you haven't covered quite concisely, and definitely things I didn't know about onion boy. Thanks for being entertaining for three hours in a little picture-in-picture box while I got my work done!

I am so glad you did this. And honestly, you were so funny because every single time you'd laugh at an inappropriate time, I'd laugh too, but your commentary was hilarious. And now this is my all time favorite video. I rewatch videos a lot but this one, this one is going to hit a record for me lol. You did such a great job! I love long videos and don't watch anything under 20 minutes usually, so this was awesome. Rewatching again lol

We had a “shock” collar for one of our dogs because she had a habit of trying to chase cars or run in front of them. She’s a big dog and can and will drag me. My husband and I each wore the collar for like 3 hours and would shock each other on various levels randomly to make sure they weren’t painful. One was slightly too much after a few hits but it worked wonders. A few taps of the lower levels while on a walk and she was suddenly not feeling like chasing cars. She never seemed like she was in pain, and the vet told us that her collar was more of a “nudge” when she moves to the road and we ‘shock’ her, the vibration of the collar acts like a hand or a mouth lead. She feels the movement and doesn’t like it. She doesn’t wear it all the time and only for walks or when she’s at the dog park with the unreasonably low fence. My husband will put it on his friends when they come over and nobody has ever gotten injured or hurt. But there are collars out there meant to hurt and scare your dog. Ever training technique has a correct and incorrect approach. Giving your dog an uncomfortable stimulation to deter what could be dangerous or life threatening behavior, could be necessary. Think about if your kid is about to touch a socket with a fork, you smack the fork out of their hand and may give their hand a smack in a heat of the moment fear response. But remember to please be kind to your children and animals alike. Both are slightly dumb and rely on you for safety and comfort, and while being uncomfortable is sometimes a necessity in life, you should never be switching uncomfortable for painful when it comes to punishment or discipline.

The only time I spanked my daughter was when she tried to stick her finger in a light socket as a toddler. I had just rearranged a room and hadn't covered the socket yet. She was still in diapers, so it didn't hurt her a bit, but having never experienced such an affront before, it was quite effective as a deterrent. Sometimes you gotta risk your child needing therapy later in life to ensure they stay alive long enough to get it. Toddlers and pets are like drunk people, they are just no good at thinking some stuff through in time to not die.

We had these for our two dogs as well-our rescue kept running out into the road and when he barks he stops listening to us. He also figured out that after getting shocked once there is a period where it resets and he started running through the invisible barrier to chase people (some people are afraid of a 30 pound schnauzer and I can’t say I blame them). So now we tie him outside. Our other dog thankfully doesn’t wander off or chase people (usually) he once tried to go to his friend’s house across the street (lol). He mostly just plays in the woods behind our house with the other dog. But we tested the collars on ourselves to make sure they weren’t going to hurt our dogs. What the onion did to his dogs is just plain abuse.

Would make more sense to actually train the dog. What happens if the collar falls off during a walk? You're screwed because your dog is not trained, does not listen, and she's still going to run out into traffic. I do not understand why people, and apparently certain "vets" for some reason, continue and try to justify shocking their dog instead of actually training them. You'd get better results with a dog trainer and actual effort than you ever will with a torture device. Not sure I'd keep seeing a vet that recommends one either, considering they're known to short out and burn dogs or malfunction and start shocking them continuously...oh that and literally every behavioral study done in the last like 20 years has proven that shock collars are just shitty dog torture devices and do not work. Just seems like a poor tradeoff to me; sure you don't have to put any of the real effort it takes into having a dog but you end up spending money, your dog still doesn't listen and now you have extra steps during walks and interactions outside of your house that do not benefit your dog. Dogs are smart, way smarter than you think. They do NOT learn well with punishment. Shocking or any sort of uncomfortable stimulus for them is a punishment and has a greater negative impact than a positive one on their behavior. Quick google search could tell you that, or better yet an actually decent vet or professional dog trainer. Dogs are also not children, but the same still applies, you shouldn't be slapping either of them. You would reasonably have outlet covers on your outlets to prevent your children from sticking forks into them, just like you should reasonably train your dog if you plan on having one. Hey that's just me though, I don't like to make my dog uncomfortable because I'm too lazy to actually train them or do any sort of basic research whatsoever.
@finallyforfeited Жыл бұрын
We had to put a shock mat in front of our stove because our dog kept standing up and looking for things to eat off the stove. He'd keep turning the knobs and turning on the gas. Can't tell you how many times we shocked ourselves. We eventually found knob covers lol
@that_pan_chick8650 Жыл бұрын
@@hollowearthfujoshi it’s not laziness. It’s the fact that the dog is twice my size. The collar was step one. Making the thought of running into the road, uncomfortable. She hasn’t worn the collar for YEARS, and only wore it for a total of 3 weeks. For less than an hour or two a day. That doesn’t sound like laziness. It sounds like you’re trying to judge me while 1. Not being a vet 2. Not being a dog expert 3. Not knowing my life or my dog Like I’ve stated. There’s good ways and there’s bad ways. You could also say that reward training is just training your dog to specifically be good because they’ll get treats. Some people think training a dog at all is abuse. You’re an idiot with google. I’m a grown woman, with a degree in small animal science. 😂 I think I’ll take my chances.

just a little fyi cause you brought it up a lot, saying that you found some of the placements of stuff odd, and some other people may be confused : The further down something is on an iceberg, just means it's not as well known as anything above it, placements aren't based on how dark or how serious something was
