Leda used to change a lot depending of who was she dating, like, when she dated Nathan she got even more emo, with Matt she started to do a lot more comic videos, that one singer (forgot his name) she never posted because she went on tour a lot with him, so every time she disappeared she came back with a new personality almost... I remember that one time she left youtube because she started dating the baby daddy of her best friend (and because of that they stopped talking) and the internet started attacking her for being a bad friend...I know that they didn't date for a long time because a while later he came out as trans and lives now as a woman. Once she came back to the internet again she completely changed, like, her content was always very innocent and after that if became very sexual, she kept talking about her vagina and masturbation and started to wear a lot of black, almost gothic and I remember thinking it was really odd... She had another hiatus and when came back she only talked about her books, she mentioned that she moved once or twice but that was pretty much it... I don't know if this is another hiatus or not but it's the longest she have been offline. I just hope she is ok
@SocialExperiment232 Жыл бұрын
What you’re talking about is just a teenager going through the stages of growing up. Of course she changed a lot. She was so young when she started it would be impossible for her not to change many times. I remember when sit was happening in real time people would always be like “I miss the old Leda” it was so annoying like let the girl grow. She got so much hate that she didn’t deserve for things that would pretty much be praised nowadays. That’s what would drive her off the internet cause people would just nitpick at everything she did.
@SocialExperiment232 Жыл бұрын
Also her being influenced by her bf is probably because they were so much older than her and she was still impressionable. She was 14/15 when she dated Nathan and he was 19/20. Makes sense that she “changed” slightly in his favor since that literally what men do when they date teenagers, they shape them to their perfect gf.

It's honestly kinda wild seeing things I was in the thick of being talked about like this. I remember this all felt like forever, especially when her final video in HaiiLedaBear aired. I think there were a lot of reasons for her to step away from the internet based off of just what I remember. She was harassed online for "changing" a lot, which she did but so does every other creator on the platform. She was also harassed for monetization and things she would do to her own body (namely tattoos, how she would bleach and dye her hair, etc). I remember these comments vividly. In a way, a lot of the things people were pressuring her to do or not do or were trying to paint her as were from the very beginning of people just bullying creators on KZbin for similar things. We see remnants of this on other creators' channels at the time (pre-2015 era), and it, to me as a fan, really feels like she was one of the very first creators that started to receive this treatment. A lot of the scene creators at the time would eventually be subject to this too since, well, people don't stay in that phase forever yet it's highly impressionable to younger audiences. I guess what I'm trying to say as part of my two cents is that in a time and era of KZbin where the audience didn't know how to handle a creator who's at this point is in their very late teens to early 20s (ie, the most unstable period of personality) and ended up mistreating them for it, Leda had no actual person online to emulate and possibly didn't even have the reassurance she'll be okay at the end of it all. She was the prototype, essentially, and as such she couldn't handle it. She seemed to have trauma, which she talked about in the newest channel, and it could probably be linked to that. There's also another angle to take this from what I remember. She shared a lot about herself, her friends, her family, even her own home. Some details she disclosed are things I can totally see her embarrassment for. For the record, I don't really think she shared anything that shameful or that bad. I'm just saying that under a certain mentality and possibility paranoia, I could see trying to be a public online figure being difficult and even potentially unsafe when you know there's some laundry out on the line. And then there was also COVID in 2020. I think that's self-explanatory. I'm even still struggling in a post-lockdown world. I miss her though. I was hoping when I looked her up just now that I would see her updates.
@Rosef1re Жыл бұрын
I looked up to Leda a lot growing up, she was a big inspiration to a lot of us. I think a big part of her having such a difficult time with the internet was because she had some pretty rabid fans and haters. She is so beautiful that I think it can sometimes almost be a detriment to her. I remember seeing a lot of terrible comments on her videos and gossip forums from extremely jealous people who seemed to revel in the fact that she was struggling. It was quite bizarre.

I loved Leda as a teen and tbh now that it’s been a few years since she went offline it’s weird to me that grown adults are still obsessed with her… the girl should have never returned to the internet and just kept living her life. So with the issue on copywrited music, I think back then you had to contact the artist themselves to get permission to use their music, i think it might have been easier in the scene community because a lot of people became friends with the people who were in the popular bands at the time. I could be mistaken though. Leda has been through a lot, and I know that's an understatement, there's a few other videos I've seen talking about her breaks from social media, she herself has also talked about some of the things that happened to her back then. Whatever might be going on now, I just hope she's safe and happy, because that's what she deserves after having to endure so much. I've been a fan of hers for quite some time, but I truly think we just need to let her have her space right now, and hope she comes back when she's ready. Much love

I used to watch Leda's content. It's a shame she left, but that's how it goes. She seems to be doing well nowadays so I'm happy for her. A lot of the internet famous scene/myspace/VampireFreaks kids have fallen off the radar simply because they've moved on with their lives: Lucien Lake, Jayden Asphyxia, Jack__x/Jackson Moretti (who dated Jayden Asphyxia back in the early 2010s and they were kind of the power couple of the VampireFreaks scene), BarbieHatesPink, JacobyShadow, Anka Kovshar (a Russian scene girl who was absolutely gorgeous), and Brittany Jean/Brittany Maki/0h_fcuk were all huge names back in the day, but nowadays there's hardly a trace of them to be found if you search Google. Brittany Jean was around until about 2021 and by that point she was kind of the last one standing. All of them except Jayden Asphyxia are alive and well. I believe Jayden Asphyxia passed in the late 2010s (I think he had cancer?) Most of them have just grown up and lead normal happy lives off the internet.
