To me your channel is the perfect trifecta of information density, accessibility and quality of presentation. Bravo! I love this channel. I find that a lot of content providers try to make 20+ minute videos even if they don't have much to say, so they fill time with goofy, non-sense like unboxings with a verbal stream of consciousness for narration. I can't stand it, and I have dropped a few channels from subscription because of it. Your scripts are well thought out, written and very digestible. BTW I keep looking for your Patreon link so I can support your content...

You are way too kind! Thank you for putting that comment together, not many people actually realize how much work it takes to put together video that is fast paced, condensed, yet informative :) I don't have a Patreon yet, since I feel like I don't have enough time yet to put there extra content, but I might start it next year! Once again thank you

@@Zumikito For my money, I don't need extra content. I'd pay just for what I get from your KZbin channel with the hopes that your channel continues to thrive and grow. A lot of content creators promise lots of stuff for Patreons, and I don't like that system. I have access to about 9 discord channels, but I rarely even check them. I don't have time to hang out there and be an active member of any of those communities, so I always feel like an outside anyhow.

Hello. I'm a lurker, plain and simple, and this is my very first comment on youtube. Ever. The only reason why I decided to broke the silence is to thank you for this video and your content. I'm far from being blessed by the god of painting (I suspect it's slaanesh) but maybe some people would take something from it, see how average Joe deals with the hobby. Hi Zumikito - may I ask your solution for footage storage? Do you keep your raw footage after a video has released, or delete them entirely? That's one of my biggest roadblocks of starting a YT channel right now - file storage.
@MRKDjarod
@MRKDjarod 16 күн бұрын
Hey, so first off, your minis look great. I saw your most recent post was a year ago, and this was 11 months ago, and think you should keep making videos. To answer your question and for others that have this question: no. I don't know anyone that keeps all the raw footage. You capture, say, 90-120 mins of raw footage, you can do this locally for a few projects if you have the space. Your editing will be way faster off your local drive. You edit that down into a final product. The videos you save are: the final product (catalogue), and any clips you may want to use again. Say you captured some footage of you airbrushing, and you narrated over this part, and it isn't you talking straight to camera. You can save this to a catalogue of B-roll or clips, and use it in the future. you would do this on a reasonably large (1TB to 4TB+) high speed external SSD (>1000Mbs, you can et reasonable 2000Mbs speeds nowadays). Anyway, just saw this, saw your work, you are a good painter and I really appreciate your audio btw! Really cool clips. Hope you keep creating!

Thank you! I will now mostly stick to this method: Pick idea from the list and create document for notes (what I have to mention, which angles, which minis etc.). Then when it is time, I make a script for which rhe notes help me. Then I shoot and edit parts with my face talking and after that I do the same with shots of me painting. Not every video has been done like that, but this imho gives me best quality and saves me the most time

Also, if you ask for feedback when sharing, you will find some great insights. Good luck and let me know if you need anything else.

Great video... There´s only one advice which I´m disagree: creating videos in English for wider audience. For sure there is more people speaking English to people speaking Czech, but there is also more competition. Fighting for viewers can be quite difficult, instead of "local" market, where maybe isn´t that many content creators and you can shine way easier. It can work both way from my point of view, you need to take a look around and consider your situation in your country and social circles. I wouldn't recommend to go with English straight away. Petr
@Zumikito
@Zumikito 4 жыл бұрын
I respect your opinion, but I still think that it is easier to build and monetize content when there is already at least some market - I feel like it is better to get a small share of large market (while still quite niche) rather than get whole market that is quite small. Also, the competition is a good thing, since you can collab and viewers do not have to consume content of one creator exclusively. Sure, it can work both ways, but I take 5% of 1 000 000 potential subscribers (made up number) over 50% of 50 000 potential subs any day (if there is even that many people interested in miniatures in Czech Republic). In the long run this has to be the case.

@@Zumikito I think it´s also connected to your business model, if you want to take majority of money from YT itself, then yes. If you would like to collect money directly from your viewers through Patreon, Kickstarter or whatsoever... then I´m not sure. But I´m admire you for aiming high.

If any channel ever mentions how few of their viewers are actually subscribed, they've basically guaranteed that I'll never be among their subscribers. I think this is the dumbest thing KZbin tells you to do. It feels like you're blaming your viewers for your lack of subscribers and it comes across as a guilt trip. I subscribe if I want to, not because a creator makes me feel guilty. Making a viewer feel bad while trying to get them to do something for you is just dumb. This is a pet peeve of mine. Terrible, terrible.
