perfect. you gotta use the rope conection on the head at the right angle to direct the head rotation. I found it works best when you turn the motor backwards so the rope and head work together to stop the head from rotating the wrong way

I put the Xi3 on my 106 MK , it’s the perfect set up. Spot lock plus the pedal steering. Works especially great in shallow weedy lakes like we fish in Ohio. I put on a 4 blade Ninja weedless prop and it goes through anything. I have an AP 120 that I keep in Florida. It’s a great kayak but a pain in weeds . It’s almost impossible to lift the motor up through the narrow cavity when it’s clogged with weeds.

Awesome helpful tip on stow deploy ropes. I just put an Xi3 Bow mount on my Old Town 106. Can’t wait for the ice to melt off the ponds around here! Going to try your rope system for stowing the motor!

8 gauge isn't enough if you want to run wires from the front to the back or vice versa. Need at least 6 gauge

it will be less than 10 ft, i think the trolling motor says up to 10 ft 10 gauge is fine, i gotta check the manual

from manual Do not extend the included 10‑gauge battery cables more than 1.8 m (6 ft) for a total of 3 m (10 ft). If longer battery cables are required, MotorGuide offers accessory 8 mm² (8‑gauge) battery cables.

@@AliexFolgueira I've seen there guide, Minn kota's 55lb thrust has the same amp draw "52" and for distances over 10ft they recommend 8 gauge. Better to be safe than sorry in my opinion, especially when dealing with safety of electrical wires. Those 8 gauge wires are going to be hot if run farther than 10ft. Speaking from experience.

Hey Alex love the videos on the paddle board, any you could do a video. On the more budget friendly ones for Amazon, as far as which one is good for fishing. I have a unique problem not having space for a kayak and not having the funds for a high quality inflatable paddle board. Most I pay is 300. I think I'm not the only one that has this problem

Yeah, really cool boat. I'm gonna be moving into an apartment soon with no garage, and a few hours away from access to my dad's boat, so unfortunately a kayak is gonna be my only option. I wonder if you could position the foot pedal some kind of way that would be comfortable and effective on the kayak. Like, maybe mounted to the top of the dry pod at an angle or something, and you would operate it sitting down. The PWR 129 definitely has endless possibilities.

bow mount is cool but , creek fishing etc. be careful. a tree can destroy the front of your yak. had a nice mount on a yak and yes it was made for it but. i hit a tree in current and motor doesn't kick up and it ripped the mount right out of the yak. the company tried to address the issue. but it couldn't be fixed. rear mount only for my fishing area.

i need to make that video, here is what i would say, both will work great on the pa. reasons to choose nk300, you can choose your battery, i choose amped outoors 60ah ( you can save 5 by using code aliex5) and since you do your own wiring you can put the battery anhwhee. now what you get out of torqeedo is efficiency, battery is smaller, the throttle tells you gps speed and range.

Motorguide calls it a kayak trolling motor, and Bonafide makes a "motor" platform kayak, yet neither of them have a clean solution for deployment and stowing. Let's be real, pulling on a string is ridiculous. If you want a mortiorized kayak, buy a Sportsman. If you want to paddle and motor, buy a PWR129. If you want to peddle and motor, buy a Native.
