Had my FX3 since launch and it’s amazing. The autofocus is fantastic and I love ‘out of the box’ cinetone. Just an excellent camera all round.

Just wanna let you know that it has passive cooling and fans so it's weather sealed. Don't worry about dust and rain. Also S-Cinetone is no match to HLG3, try that out. Has its advantages over SLog3.

Great video. Although I'd like to point out that the bit about dust getting into the camera via the fan vents is incorrect. The camera is completely weather-sealed and the cooling system is separate from the rest of the camera's internals, so you don't need to worry about dust/water getting into the body through those vents.

I have the FX3 as well but struggle with handheld shots that look good. How do you do it? Looked like you did not use a gimbal in the cave but all shots look very very stable. Did you use in cam stablization or..?

Its effectively the same sensor I believe. But the controls you have over noise reduction are higher in the FX6 giving you a tiny bit more flexibility and could yield very slightly better results if you know what youre doing in post production with NR.

Incredible footage , can I ask what is the FPV device and how much it costs ? I’m coming from a Sony A7s and torn between the Red Komodo and Sony Fx3, I had no idea the Sony fx3 had FPV capabilities and it’s also approved for Netflix productions 😉

The low native ISO is actually 800 not 640 with the firmware update on Cine EI

The v2 firmware update introduces two Cine EI shooting modes and in those modes the low base ISO is 800. However, if you shoot in Flexible ISO mode, the base ISO is still 640.

Base ISO is actually 800 (Not 640). I loved the shot in the lava area, super cool idea! FX3 is a WONDERFUL camera, you can pretty much shoot anything you want with it and the quality of the video is outstanding. Low light at 12800 is sooooo clean, you can pretty much see in the dark! Maybe go back to the lava area at night with a flash light and the astronaut suit :)

So sorry to say but its not possible to use any camera that has IBIS in the body even if you use gyrowflow. The only way you can use it on a FPV for example the FX30 is to hard mount mod the camera sensor.

I was going to say the same, I have a cinelifter with the naked blackmagic 4k only cause it has a fixed sensor. Anything with IBIS will definitely have jitters which made me question the fpv footage shown. I was thing was this the catalyst browse post edit or before they tried the software. But never less the colorgrade and footage still looks real nice.
