The Lakers’ best chance of winning the chip was if they dropped the Play-in game to NOP, beat SAC for the 8-seed to play OKC in the First Round, won in 5, beat DAL in 6, then beat MIN in 6 in WCF after they escape DEN in 7 in the Round before with their 2 bigs and size to challenge Jokić. Now they’re going to have to do it the hard way coming back from a 0-3 deficit for the first time in NBA history. At least it will all be downhill from there. I’ve been calling it ever since the series started; Lakers fall 0-3, win Game 4 in convincing fashion - breaking the losing streak and putting the Nuggets on their heels and shakier with each ensuing game and totally flopping in Game 7 at home; then the Lakers go 5, 5, 5 the next three rounds. 🧙‍♂️
