If there is one prescriptivism to enforce upon the world, let it be this, the linguistic cousin to HyperPirate and the language rightfully owed its spot as future IAL.
Also, let this be just a small taste of cursedness to whet your appetites for the upcoming Cursed Conlang Circus event.

well, it was obvious to the average astute reader, since (sorry no yogh or dotless i/j, so ill use ' and dotted i/j here) he said 'j'j'j while the text read jj ....very wrong grammar and also way too dialectal to be considered hyperformal at all by the capital's inhabitants

Needs more social registers. (Also, dukes are the highest nobility. If you're above a duke, you've crossed the threshold between nobility and royalty. The ultra-hyper-mega-duke awaits your three-hour apology. Any mistakes, including incorrect timing or any misplaced coughs, will of course require an even longer and more precise apology.)

Everyone talking about dutch danish etc. meanwhile this is actually just Japanese. Japanese has at least 4 major levels of formality with more granular distinctions within those levels. Talking to someone in the wrong level, both too formal or not formal enough, is seen as impolite and can be offensive. There of course are also over a dozen honorifics and ways of addressing yourself a second person or a third person all of them having different situations in which they are appropriate.

I am fairly certain, though I could be wrong (thus rendering my speech informal, forcing self-incarceration), that actually coughing during the the middle of speech would warrant a severe apology or even self-incarceration, as this act is very informal.
@SillyIdea
@SillyIdea Жыл бұрын
At first i wondered how they would address an accidental cough when speaking like yours. I bet there's a distinct handkerchief you use for non word coughs, that you then must offer to your conversational partner as an apology gift.

As much as I enjoy these, lately it seems like all these conlangs are simply trying to outcompete one another for either [apparent] unpronounceability, or for the most bizarre phonemes that can be strung together. While I marvel at the ingenuity, I find the aesthetics to be more about shock value than philological excercise. Part of any worthwhile conlang is its aesthetic property, and even though phonologically bizarre ones like HyperPirate or HyperFormal are fun at face value, in my opinion they become tedious after awhile. Nonetheless, I do admire the dedication to the craft and the uniqueness of the concepts portrayed.
