I have the 24-70 Tamron 2.8 and it's my favorite lens I've ever had! Recently traveled with it and a few other lenses, change into a prime one morning and I was so disappointed all day that I didn't have the tamron. Such a diverse tool. never have done photographer or videography , I’m on the music side of things… but I decided to jump in the deep in.. walked in the camera store last week & picked up a Mirrorless A7iii & grabbed a Sigma 24-70 f2.8 lens with a couple filters… I’m I’m love with it…

So many options to choose when buying that 1st lens. I don't think you will go wrong with any if you really know what style you shoot. I recently bought the 24-70 Sigma version as my first lens for Sony. The reasons being: 1) I need to experiment, 2) at first glans, I wasn't willing to start throwing money on primes 3) I definitely wanted an upgrade from a kit lens with that 2.8 aperture. In conclusion, I am very happy with my purchase. Ohh, and I'm watching this video for the first time so you are actually reaffirming my decision.

My problem with something like a 24 - 70 would be that I would constantly want to shoot ultra wide angle shots. Especially for dramtic landscape or architecture. So what do you think about using the 16-35 instead of the 24-70 as a main lens ? I like both and thats why I will never be able to choose. Well looks like I will need to get both... btw. for me that means buying the Tamron 17-70 and the Tamron 11-20 for apsc.

With the Sony 24-70 being a little out of my price range, would the tamron 28-75 be a good piece in the time being? I’ve got an a6000 currently. I have the kit lens 16-55, and a sigma 30mm 1.4.

I bought the 28 75 G2 from tamron, honestly amazing lens especially for the price, very very light and well built, plus it's got USB C port for firmware update and allocating button function very easily. Only downside is I feel I am missing a wider angle with the lack of 24 mm, sometime I wish I had bought a 24 70 instead, maybe I will buy a 24 70 mm and see for myself what i prefer

im 2 12 thousand dollars in... Sony A7S iii ... four lenses...GM 14mm 1.8...Sony FE 24 105...Sony Zeiss 55mm..Sony FE 55mm has OSS...SD cards...card reader... batteries ...charger...tac bag...gimble...tripod. Now this lens is on my radar...oh no...thanks!
