Other options it has is a 12v 30A output which could be connected to a fuse panel in a camper or canopy to run all DC loads and you can have effective DC charging (through the AC charging port) using the D050S charge adapter which will allow DC charging through the alternator and solar together.

Good review. A nice compact little unit & I’m sure this product will be very appealing to many as a simple & convenient all in one solution for some decent power when out camping, at home or work, but Bluetti does need to get on board with some Anderson plug inlets & outlets, it’s the Aussie way, & maybe even face them upwards or in a sleek fitting manner so things can be stored or packed around them better without damaging them in transit. Yep, a Anderson plug port for charging up to 50A in transit would be a great upgrade for this product along with 1 or 2 Anderson’s for a decent 12v output & enough to run 2 fridges, a travel buddy oven & a few lights as well. Cheers

Why do all these tpes of things always use the dodgy cigarette lighter type plugs. Why not use Anderson plugs which most 4WD and camping enthuisiants seem to use more often?
@explorebound Жыл бұрын
I think there's value in having one cigarette plug as most fridges come with those as the standard connection, but I definitely think they need an Anderson outlet or two, would add so much versatility!
@4WheelingInNSW Жыл бұрын
Because they’re far cheaper and easier to include than Anderson plugs and for most users, the market would probably want cigarette sockets anyway I guess.

Bought the 200 Max and the 420W solar panel, works perfectly. Though the panel is a bad design so I decided to buy the AC 200p. Had no end of trouble with the 200p. Turned it on for the first time, fault lights everywhere, orange icon for the PV/CAR icon and the AC load icon. Turns itself off at 2:16 every morning and the date is stuck on the 18/1/2020 at 10:4. Absolutely shocking customer support, although kudos to the guy on the phone who tries to help but has no clue. It seems like the machine has been sitting in their warehouse for many years and it looks like it might even be a returned item. Definitely do not recommend the AC 200p.

maybe a stupid question but I don't understand the part where you talk about sparing the inverter? so when is it that you use the inverter? what devices should I avoid to not over use it and loose the power too quickly? Hope my question makes sense and you or someone else can explain to me 🙏🏼 thank you! otherwise great video🤩
@explorebound8 ай бұрын
It really just depends on how much power your particular device uses, and how long you want the unit to last. For example, the induction cooker used in the video by itself draws 1300W, so with a capacity of 2048Wh we can only use this device for 1.5hours before it's completely flat (and that's without using any other power outlets at all). So just something to be mindful of. 🙂

@explorebound Жыл бұрын
Yeah you definitely could, however you’re still limited to a 10A draw in total so just need to be conscious to not overload it (average fridge draws 3-5A)
@MxODraconis Жыл бұрын
It's better to get a solution that conencts via the aviation plug under the merit plug, and that gives your 30a power. Which when running ovens and other high draw 12v solutions, isn't viable via the merit plug. I know my Kings 12v oven trips the 10a plug, but can run via the 30a. As the watt draw for the unit doesn't allow the oven to run.

These units would make a great alternative to a dual battery if only the DCDC charge had a higher capacity and it included an Anderson or a 2pin Engel plug. So much more secure. Otherwise great setup for weekend warrior or occasional camping.
@mikestevens20536 ай бұрын
The dc/dc capacity limit is to protect the vehicle's lightweight power point wiring, which most people would use to charge these things while traveling. Regular driving easily keeps it topped off, and solar input has a huge (and therefore very fast) charging capacity. The DC output includes a 30A aviation plug, and Bluetti sells a screw-in/heavy gauge power cable to run to a fuse block. We've taken our van to the Arctic Ocean and all across Northern Canada in very remote places and the AC200Max has worked perfectly as our house battery. There are other KZbin videos showing the correct way to do this in an adventure van. Cheers!

These power stations are not a bad idea. The only issue I have with all of them is that they don't allow solar and 12V charging at the same time. And for 12v charging you have to use the 12V outlet of the car (very slow). You cannot charge it via a DC/DC charger.

Ok. Your a good YT presenter. But the review was not to good. You are not using the 200Max the right way. You do not need to use the 12v cig light to run your 12v fridge. First. The earnest way to run ALL 12v things in your set-up. Is to buy a 12v fuse bus. Then but the 12v 30amp cable from Buletti (or Amazon). Connect all your 12v to the fuse bus (fridge, lights etc) then cut the end of the 12v 30amp cable and connect the + / - to the fuse bus. Now you can run all all 12v from that. Also to charge the 200Max (and other Bluetti's) in the car via the 12v cig. You buy the 500w extender. And also you can charge via EV car stations also when you can't use solar.

Hey mate, just be careful about making too many of these review videos for products you never bought yourself. I’ve seen channels start dying because they start doing regular videos of free products they’ve been sent. I’m sure this is a great product but it’s very very expensive and by getting it for free you haven’t really proven the value proposition. Also without touching on any product negatives you can’t really title this video as a “review”. It’s more of a showcase or just Bluetti advertisement. I like your other content mate but this sort of stuff just ain’t it

It’s all a lie. I have one running two 12v coolers and if I’m lucky I get 5 hrs on a full charge.
@MxODraconis Жыл бұрын
Not really much of a 'real world' test, and Bluetti sends these out for free to KZbin reviewers on mass. I have one of these units (plus a B300), and run a 12v control box via the 30a output under the merit plug. Which gives me anderson plugs and other options from that 'standard' 12v setup. As for the unit as a whole, the idle consumption of the unit is larger than a normal 12v dual battery setup. You'll loose 10% of the battery per 24h, of it just being on, and this can add to the overall need to keep it powered via solar. To add the 10a merit plug cannot handle a KINGS travel oven, but the 30A can. Though the 10A merit plug on a B300 battery pack can run the oven. The AC200MAX has a limited max WATT output for the 10A merit plug, that has issues at the full 12V 10A draw items. There is a hidden menu in the power menu that if you click the top left corner of the screen it'll take you to a per cell power display for each of the 16 cells in the unit. As this is a 48v system, you can get some loss as it drops to 12v, where if you're running low draws it'll drain ineffeciently. I have ~5000ah of storage when I have this in my camping setup and allows me to take it out for home use and camping use. But it's an expensive solution, and you pay for the ecosystem.

@explorebound Жыл бұрын
I think convenience is more the target market for products like these rather than price point - most of the time building a DIY setup will always be cheaper. That being said, a 150Ah LiFePO4 lithium battery, 2200W inverter, battery management system, solar regulator, comparable charger, outlets etc would still cost a fair bit purchased separately.
