Except that the Soviets had very little involvement with the Sandinistas. Saying that still protects real US institutions and the CIA, which pissed me off. The US has used "we need to do it for national security because the Russians are there" as an excuse for brutal imperialism for _decades_ even when it is a total lie. The truth is it didn't matter if it was a "matter of national security" or not. They don't care. If you try to resist imperial domination, they will try to kill you. Look at Castro and Cuba, they attempted to assassinate him and overthrow the government long before they had any relationship with the USSR. Same with Guatemala, or Iran, or Chile. Frankly, there were very few instances where the Soviets actually had a big presence and that could be used as a justification for American violence.

@HarpyLady2 жыл бұрын
@@wielderofthetriforce1934 I mean, I can definitely see your point lol but I think it's purely based on Batman himself. I think Roshi is annoyed by Batman because he lives in Gotham, quite possibly the shittiest place to live in and leaves the fate of criminals like Joker in the hands of the law, who only puts him in Arkham Asylum and always breaks out to cause more chaos, and Batman catches him again, turns him into the police, and the cycle continues. I'm sure Roshi isn't quite aware that he doesn't hold other characters to the same standard because Batman as a whole revolves around not killing villains, even if the ones like Joker, actually deserve to.
@Tysongranger52 жыл бұрын
@@HarpyLady well blame the law not Batman. If there was a vigilante carrying out capital punishment, it could easily turn into a governmental problem. But the whole point of super heroes is that believe anyone can be saved or rehabilitated. Even villains. That’s what makes them different from regular civilians. No regular person would go out of their way to save complete strangers if they didn’t believe beyond a shadow of a doubt that everyone deserves to be saved. Cause it’s not like they run background checks on people their about save before they save em. For all they know they could be saving someone who beats up his wife, abuses their kids or is just a generally shitty person but they don’t focus on who or what type of person their saving is because they believe EVERYONE is worth saving.

Im dead that Yoshi thought red menace was a red skull reference. They mean Red menace aka the red scare it was a cold war phenomenon of peeps being scared of soviet union infiltration. If you watch stranger things its why the Americans react so strongly to the Russians, its an aftermath of the red scare
