Something tells me when you started going Ninja with that Milwaukee Hedge Trimmer, your wife was making sure your insurance was up to date. I just bought the Makita Hedge Trimmer and freaking love it. If I don't go Makita, I'd be all about Milwaukee tools all the way! I really like the curve on that Milwaukee trimmer, it is a nice one!

Great video Albert. You're a dork. In a good way...I currently only have the M12 line. Now I'm thinking of moving up to the M18 just to buy this trimmer so I can trim the 2 small hedges I have :-)

Try this...watch this video again...turn down the volume....and pretend your a neighbor watching through the window. If i saw a guy in his front yard trimming his bushes and doing martial arts with his power tools....I would think hes a mental case. Lol. But I would probably pull up a chair and watch every unbox he did in the future. Very entertaining to watch....nice job!! Subscribed

I totally understand. I really enjoyed your video though. Defiantly made it worth watching. I got about 20 Milwaukee fuel tools...m12 and m18...think I'm gonna add one of these to the fleet. We do plumbing and HVAC...definatly team red for me. Have a good one

Nice, lol I'm guessing being part of the Fuel line, it needs the larger fuel batteries? How's the runtime working out for you. It would be nice to have for work doing lawn care, don't have to cut much and have the car charger so could charge on the go. I just have original M18 batteries though so I'd have to upgrade there a little.
@albertj34217 жыл бұрын
So far the run time has not been an issue at all. Any of the current M18 red lithium batteries will work in the hedge trimmer ( M18 2.0, 4.0, 5.0, 9.0) just remember the smaller the battery the shorter the run time. I have the M18 string trimmer as well and I do all my weekly hedge trimming, weed wacking, and edging on one 9.0 amp battery. I have yet to completely drain a battery working in my yard and I have a lot of landscaping. I can do about an hours worth of on and off work with the one 9.0 amp battery. If all you would be doing is running the hedge trimmer then I believe a 4.0 amp battery would be plenty on a yard my size especially since you have the car charger to top off between yards. Hope that helps and good luck!

Coming up on almost 2 years now, how are you liking this trimmer? I bought one a week or so ago and it broke one of the connecting rods between the motor and the lower blade on the first 1/4" rose bush stem I cut. Milwaukee calls it a connecting plate and its attached to the blade by what looked to be a bronze dowel bushing and the dowel sheared off between the connecting rod and the blade. Its currently being serviced at a dealer for free, going on 2 weeks now... but the premature failure has me a bit concerned. I'm hoping its a fluke but curious to see how its going to last long term.
@albertj34215 жыл бұрын
Sorry to hear about that. Mine is still working great. I actually bought a second unit several months ago to keep at a different property. I don't use mine professionally so its not getting daily or even weekly use but so far so good. Sorry again that yours broke so quick but has to be a random fluke. Milwaukee has an excellent warranty. I do construction and have had several drills and a few batteries fail over the years and have never had any problem getting them to warranty the tool or battery even after several years of use.

@@albertj3421 Thanks for the response. I'm in construction as well and have had very few issues with any Milwaukee tools. Both their 7-1/4" and 10" M18 miter saws are excellent, use the Surge impact daily which is also excellent. Have the 16g straight and 15g angle finish nailers and had to send the 15g in after the trigger failed, and they just sent me a brand new gun and both have run flawlessly since. I don't have much experience with hedge trimmers and they very well could all use the same mechanism. I'm just gonna chalk this up as a material defect as I haven't been able to find any instance of this happening to anyone else online.

would you recommend it for commercial use?
@albertj34216 жыл бұрын
That probably depends on your definition of commercial. If by "commercial" you mean that it will be in someones hand 8 hours a day 5 days a week then I don't know yet. The tool is still too new to the market to make a honest assessment of how it will hold up under constant heavy use. However if by "commercial" you mean a situation where the trimmer is getting used a little every day here and there, then yes I think based on what I've seen it can do it. Mine has been flawless. If you try to bush hog with it then it will bog down. Gas still wins in the really really thick stuff. But for residential yards the M18 is an outstanding option. I also have a Sthil FS90 and I reach for the Milwaukee every time. No fooling with mix gas, it's quiet, and no more pull to start. If you shop around I've seen it for as little as $150.00. Hope that helps. Thanks for watching!
