温泉に浸からないで、縁にいる、大きい雄が、リーダーですよ。皆を見守っているのです。温泉の淵に浸かって長いこといるのが、年配の雌です(長老や雌の一番がいい場所に居ます。)他の雌は遠慮して空いた所に入ります。。雄はあまり温泉に入らないというのですが、中には温泉好きの雄も居ます。

三十数年前に地獄谷温泉の宿に泊まりました。夕方や早朝、露天風呂に入っていると近くまで猿がやってきて驚いたものです。おばあんのおかみさんがずっと手作りでちまきをつくっていて、おいしかった重いですがあります。料理もいっい何皿出たのか通常の2倍くらいあった記憶があります。そのころと、劇的に変わっていない。自然と人間の調和を保ち続けてほしいですね。

数年前、訪れた時は、雪景色でした。やはり、多くの外国人が猿達を取り巻いていました。日本人かと思うと中国人で、日本人は少数でした。私も日帰り入浴施設を利用しました。とても、昭和を感じました。

いや～スゴイ山奥にあるんですね～おサルさん大好き人間としては＾＾行ってみたいと思ってました、こないだ20分歩いて買い物に行ったら股関節を痛めて歩け無くなりました、現在治療中です・・・・情けないです～車生活で足腰弱く成ってます・・・いや～スゴイ＾＾貴重な映像ありがとうございます、近くに一泊してゆっくり観たいですね。

Thanks for your nice movie! I think, it can be said that the monkeys here coexist peacefully with people by keeping an appropriate distance. We must not forget that this is because the people of here have been watching over these wild monkeys with great care. So, I find a deeper meaning in the people who have been protecting nature from generation to generation than in these monkeys amazing habits.

They provide monkey with apples in winter sometimes in order to protect the apple orchard from being eaten by monkeys. I guess the monkeys also know that people here will not hurt them.

I wish I lived closer I would love to go! We have a Monkey Farm here in Tarpon Springs Florida & it's definitely a late 70's ,80's vibe! The view isn't as gorgeous as Japan's view that's for sure! Thanks for sharing!

Yes! There are many hotels down the hill around the park that people can stay. The most traditional hotel is this one, you can check their website. This hotel is more than 100-year old! 弱肉強食の野生の世界。当然、湯に入る序列があります。又、湯面にはPOOも浮いているので、それも仕方ありません。つまり人間の綺麗事など通用しないのです。それだけです。
