If you wear glasses, prescription lens inserts are essential too. Yes, you can play with glasses on and risk scratching your headset lenses, but inserts are great. I've had 2 sets from VROptician (Q2 & Pico4) and a set from VRRock (Q3 VROptician weren't ready when I was). I use the AMVR facial gasket too. I started with a cheap 'Elite' style battery strap, which was pretty good and very comfortable, but got a BOBO M3 Pro when it popped up for just over 40 quid, because everyone gushed about it. The problem with it is that the battery is pish compared to my KKCOBVR battery for the Pico 4, so I've just ordered their Q3 Pro, which is a hybrid halo/elite strap and uses the same swappable 10,000mah battery as my Pico, all for just over £35, delivered. I do have hand straps, but I went for 3 quid fabric ones which do the job and are better than the AMVR ones I have on the Pico.

Just a PSA for everyone, many if not all of the battery pack straps do not have a quest link cable passthrough feature. Meaning if you use the link cable instead of wifi you will find you cant use the battery pack at the same time

I think that "prescription lens inserts" should rank higher than both a facial interface and head strap replacement, tbh. I can understand that you probably intended for this to be a more "universal" list that applies to everyone, and prescription lens inserts are obviously only useful for people who wear prescription glasses. But if you do wear glasses, lens inserts are an absolutely transformative accessory, they're basically necessary to make VR both comfortable and legible. And since the percentage of the population that wears glasses is +50% in most developed countries, that's not a small number of people.

I think another really good accessory for the quest 3/2 is the INIU 5m Link Cable, its an active chargeing cable you connect the quest charger to and for people who want to play on PC VR with a quest headset its really good, for me it keeps both my quest 2 and 3 charged meaning you can just play for as long as you want without having to worry about battery life.

@@SilverRose45 iv had it for a few months and id say its a good cable, the quality is really good and it works really well, iv used it with a few headsets like the pico 4 and quest 2-3 and its been great, the only thing is to get the best out of it you need to use a fast charger for extra power since the quest 3 uses a lot of power the battery would still slowly drain with a normal use 5v 2a adaptor, so i got an anker 18w fast charger that can do 9v 2a and then it worked fine the headset stays charged and can play all day long.

I went for the BoboVR S3 Pro strap. It's actually on its way right now. It is spendy af but I have had a good time with the M2 on my Quest 2 and I have seen a lot of good things about the S3. Also considering that I actually won my Quest 3, I'm only the $90 some-odd USD into my Quest 3 now. And I actually sold my Quest 2 to bankroll my strap upgrade. I am looking at the AMVR facial interface. I have heard that it can be somewhat of an issue with the S3 but I have seen other VR KZbinrs show how to get around the issues. But you are right, these are like the minimum you really need for the HMD. Though a good charging setup would be something that could follow in priority for the Quest 3. More batteries for the S3 would also be nice.

S3 is very adjustable and you could fit it. But i could not make it like old Bobovr F2 fans that clipped to face interface. But cooled forehead is nice too

I got the KKCOBVR version, which is literally the same headset aside the digital display and fan. But it’s so comfy, just as powerful with a removable (similar to Bobo VR S3 Pro), but half the price, it’s only $35 it’s wild

@@vadnegru I get that, I’ve actually never had the issue (even in intense workout or physical activities) with fogging or sweating, I usually just get a bit of a glossy finish from my natural face oils on the silicone cover, but it’s a simple wipe with a semi damp cloth. I personally have been loving the fitment the KKCOBVR headstrap feels with the flush facial interface. Even ended up picking a “pro” or “open” facial interface for those MR games where you wanna feel one with the environment

Yeah I considered the kiwi, but the bobo hot swap battery . . . I play longer then any one battery on top of the Q3's battery will last, for any one that plays more then 4/5 hours at a time a hot swap battery is kind of required, only other ways I'm aware of is a large pocket battery with a high watt output and cable or plugged into a outlet.

Except bobo sucks for fitness over kiwi more fogging etc, amd there's wobbly feeling to it aswell, imo kiwi is the better option and if u ever need more playtime just hotswap eith a power and or save up for it if u exercise with vr

I love the magnetic switchable batteries in my BOBOVR S3 PRO. Unlimited playtime. I have 3 batteries and the charging dock. Looks sick. It's also really comfy, though I did not try the Kiwi one.

For me, the Q3 Elite battery strap (replaced for free with a newer post dec 2023 batch) is now is the only Q3 accessory I've needed. This perfectly balances my Q3 so I don't need to tighten the faceplate much to hold it in place. Also easy to put on/off like a hat without needing to adjust anything. For even longer runtimes I just plug in a 10000mahr 30w Romoss pack with a short battery lead to the headstrap's charge point. My only complaint is I do get a tiny bit of side light leakage, but not really noticeable when gaming.

I'd go with 3: - The Kiwi back strap. Night and day difference in comfort. I had the Quest 2 one and 3D printed the adapter since Kiwi are a**holes and won't provide new adapters a month after they started to. - The AMVR facial Interface. Just ordered that as I'm getting annoyed with the stock strap and this video pushed me over the edge. - Some Active Straps like Meta's. I got Meta's as I like the metal hooks at the bottom, they inspire more confidence than plastic.

Dude I tried many many vr accessories and I completely agree with you. 1. The best strap is the kiwi battery strap (yes much better than bobovr to me). 2. I use the AMVR facial interface, it's currently the best option, I was hoping for a VR cover one but these guys are apparently in a coma or something. 3. Other accessories that I use all the time and recommend are hand grips and rechargeable batteries for the controllers.

I can't play without knuckle strap and dropshiped ones cost under 10$. Also depending on where you store the headset, lens cover is a nice thing, especially if you take your quest somewhere else. Yes, you could use piece of cardboard that was in headset, but it's fiddly and could scratch lenses if pushed.

I liked the m3 mini headstrap from bobovr. It’s hinged like the kiwi strap but with the ability to upgrade for hotswapable batteries. And yes it’s fully compatible with the bobo battery dock upgrade kit.

Personally I use a Nexigo charging dock so I don't wear out the usb c port, plus the boboVR M3 upgraded to the better battery, the default mask is working for me but that's probably my next upgrade, though I will say the con with the dock is its finicky got to put it on just right, and the batteries it comes with for the controllers drain faster then the default, though I've never gotten them down to less then 30%, but I'm not worry about them ever dying on me, sense I put them on the charging dock when ever I put the headset on, at most I might switch to rechargeable normal batteries sense the plastic white of the Nexigo battery cover isn't a perfect match.

To be fair, meta's link cable isn't all that overpriced, quality opticals are generally expensive..... Its just overall pointless to use optical, be cause the XR2 is hardcapped at like 2.5gbps. 16 feet of copper cable isn't gonna induce enough line noise to impact that.
