Interesting how his vision involves a family. It is something Maul actually wants if we look at his character. She would've told the Jedi he fell to, and thus his actions were influenced by the dark side. In Dooku's eyes it was necessary to stop this information from leaking, as well as finally receiving the aid he believed he required (from Palps) to change things for the better. It was the "final test".

Mauls species are tribal, aggressive and have a warrior culture. A male Jedi Zabrak would certainly struggle with the Dark Side, but perhaps could channel that natural darkness in a way similar to Windu, they would likly be able to master Vapaad to channel their inner dark for good. I'm sure a Jedi Zabrak could exist, but they would certainly not be like, say, Yoda.

@@raikaria3090 Both Jedi Masters Agen Kolar and Eeth Koth were Zabrak, and both at one point served on the Jedi Council. Both, however, were Iridonian Zabrak, as opposed to Maul, who is Dathomirian. Eeth Koth also left the Jedi Order before Order 66 and retired to a desert planet, and Agen Kolar was known to be more aggressive in combat. So I'd say you're pretty close.

@@raikaria3090 do you think that the zabraks from dathomir are the same species? because they arent, they are a sub species of zabrak that have bred with nightsisters and have a completely different culture and way of life, the brown zabraks in this video are the normal ones, ones like maul that are red or yellow like his brother are from dathomir, many of the original ones have become jedi just like many of the dathomir ones have become sith. the normal ones are still tribal but way more tame and are usually alligned with the lightside, your whole comment was made up bs.

Fun fact: Maul was as a Sith taught to hate Jedi but in fact his hatred was more personal. He hated Jedi because they did not take him as a boy, because for all their faults, lies and hypocrisy, they still better treated their young ones than Sith and even his own mother, who for all her love for him, she did not hesitate to have her own son bullied, starved or thrown into a pit on barbaric planet of Dathomir just for her own ambitions to become Sidious' apprentice (who wanted to test Maul's connection to Dark Side to see if the boy was worthy to become his apprentice instead). I doubt Nightsisters would willingly allow Jedi to take their children to Jedi Temple, but Maul's reason to hate Jedi was more than just because his master taught him that. And he could not deny a fact that his whole childhood for all its dark possibilities was in fact nothing but crappy, first on Dathomir, then with his master.

This title is somewhat misleading. It was only a vision. A vision into an alternate reality where Maul became a Jedi rather than a Sith. The Jedi rarely recruited from species like the Zabrak who tend to have natural inclinations towards the dark side. The vision was supposed to teach Darth Maul the value of patience, as just before that he had slaughtered a Jedi padawan against his master’s orders. Sideous wanted to keep up the impression that the Sith were still extinct, and Darth Maul’s trigger happy nature would ruin his master plan. Shortly after this visit to Malacore V, Darth Maul was cut down by a young Obi Wan Kenobi and he was forced to spend 12 years rotting away on a trash world until he met his brother Savage.
