For those who want to read the background/backstory lore of the first chapter (Journey to the West is an old novel, and thus there are many re-telling and different versions of the event. This is the one I’m familiar with and believe the game to be based on). Long ago there was a monk called Jinchi (giant golden/blue dude with a big forehead we fought) who’s said to be so pure and blessed that he lived up to 270 years old. Jinchi has many disciples, three of which are Guang Mou, Guang Zhi, and the Black Wind King himself. When Sun Wukong and his team stopped at the temple of Jinchi to rest, upon seeing the golden robe of Shangtang (Wu Kong's master) Jinchi immediately wanted it for himself, believing that Shangtang was unworthy of such treasure and only one pure of heart such as himself alone deserved it. Jinchi devised a plan, offering Shangtang a place to stay for the night and food in exchange for letting Jinchi borrow his golden robe for the night so he could “take a closer look”. When Shangtang is asleep, Guang Mo offers to slit Shangtang’s throat so his master could keep the rope, while Guang Zhi thinks it’s better to burn the building Shangtang’s staying. Wukong- suspicious of Jinchi from the start, goes and “borrows” the Fireproof Mantle to protect his master while simultaneously fanning the flame and burning down the entirety of Jinchi’s temple. Amid Jinchi and his disciples busy putting out the fire, the Black Wind King stole the golden rope for himself and hid it in his cave (he later repents and sets onward on the path of enlightenment and goodness). In the morning, when Jinchi realized what he’d done, he committed suicide!de out of shame. His ghost died such a shameful death and couldn't pass on, becoming the giant blue demon. Guang Mo (who suggested assassinating Shangtang) went down the path of wickedness and underhanded; mastering the art of poison. Guang Zhi (who suggested burning the temple) repented and tried to become better, but his past haunts him all the same (hence why he’s holding the fire polearms and attacking using fire). The Black Wind King felt guilty for causing the death of his master- and decided to rebuild the temple and stitch back together whatever Buddhist scripture he could find in the hope of atoning for his sin and awaiting for the one that (technically responsible) burned down his temple.

@@SaruverseGamingThis game is pretty subtle in the way it tells its story, it's like how God of War told its story, you have to watch the lore beforehand to understand it more. Like we don't need any introduction to what Hercules and his lore is while playing Gow right? This is the same for us asians when we play this game, tho it's kind of hard when the name is in English =)

"Son Goku" is the Japanese version of Sun Wukong/monkey king from the classic Chinese story "Journey to the West". The anime "Gensomaden Saiyuki" also has a character named "Son Goku" for that same reason. Original DB Goku has a staff for a weapon and turns into an ape, because he's based on the Monkey King.

@@DBT1007 是的，而且这设定关乎到古代东方哲学的阴阳里，你游戏中跟八戒战斗的时候他会变成一条泥浆包裹的鱼，那是因为东方哲学中，阴阳各有五行，夏水和湿土都属阴，所以就是猪打滚的泥浆相关联，所以你在大战火焰山土地的时候，他放出的阴阳鱼，如果你走到阴的地界，也就是黑色的地界，阴阳鱼就会变得跟八戒泥浆鱼形态一模一样。阴阳无分好坏，都是古人试图理解世界的一种构想概念文化。贪婪和色欲用到的部分都是阴。

Bro does not seem to understand how "Rock Solid" ability work. Once you activate Rock Solid your NOT suppose to do anything except take the enemy's attack to the face which actually is a form of PARRY.

You used it during the fight but you just cancelled it too early because you attacked. The monkey your using now doesn't have it yet so your gonna have to find it somewhere in the game. Anyway look, it's your playthrough so your rules, just keep in mind how it works

One more thing, the devs made this game with ASIAN difficulty in mind (that was suppose to be some kind of joke from them) because they want to show WESTERN people what REAL games are suppose to be. I guess this was to distinguish their way of gaming.
