Old Monkey didn't know 6th Relic is in Erlang's Third eye ... Thats why he said Wukong can only return with 5 relics successor without Wukong's mind. .... So for Bad Ending, he put the Headache Band on you ... but for good ending, you wake up after with Journey to the West' memory return .... >>>> Old Monkey is fishy here as he does not Wukong come back ?

Wukong can never be free with the head band on, so no head band is good ending(completed all the side quest and understand the story), him and Erlang maybe NeZha can truly form an freedom alliance against both the court and buddha, Chinese community suspects that the old monkey is resurrected Tang monk (Wukong's master).
