@luna_belle50298 ай бұрын
@773superprguy Do we know each other? Are you fit to advise me on how I should be living my life? Do you know of my spiritual practices, my volunteer work, or my relationship to my community? How a person feels in their own body is not simply a hallmark of media consumption. Self perception is complex and begins in childhood, often reinforced by caretakers and other events. If you weren't aware, your flippant and dismissive response is short-sighted and lacking the appropriate complexity to actually be useful. Best of luck to you.

Happiness is so fleeting... it's a chase that never ends. Contentment is better but is also a bit of an illusion as well... e.i. can anyone ever be truly fully content? Probably not but it's better than being unhappy.
@offthechainfitness8 ай бұрын
@@IntelligentProbe you nailed it when you said contentment is an illusion because what I found was that I was caught in a network of words that temporarily comforted me such as “be happy” “it’s Friday” “live a little” etc Therefore I saw that descriptive words are illusions and therefore descriptions/concepts such as happiness in any form along with its opposite had to be abandoned or be forever caught between happy-unhappy, worthy-unworthy, motivated-demotivated etc Now I just do!

It’s perspective for most really but there are a few that don’t have a choice like schizophrenia people and so forth. It’s to easy as humans to count what you want and equivocate it to what we don’t have as a glass half empty and when we don’t get it in the time frame or the parameters we want then we throw a fit and allow that to change the decision making for other things. Then they call it mental health. When really they are just dealing with the consequences. They go to a doc they will put you on pills that numb you and don’t fix the underlying problem for most. Essentially farming insurance for the most part. Life’s hard people live in a fantasy land from tv and expect the best outcome at all times. Facts are nobody cares what you call your issue or how bad it affects you what matters is how fast you get up.

While it is sad that social media has come to this, I genuinely believe that being this open and vulnerable online comes with a price. I definitely agree with Coach Greg about the dopamine granted through seeing a bunch of positive comments and how much it probably hurt her when those comments started to disappear. I feel like to go through with videotaping your journey and uploading it for the whole world to see, you must remain an absolute stone. It is what it is and you cannot let any wind turn you over. It’s not for everyone and there are people out there miserable enough to leave distasteful comments

I can confirm, focusing on what makes YOU happy really works. I'm taking huge steps this year - broke up an unhappy relationship, finding a new job and potentially moving to a new country. Been working out consistently for a year now. All in the spirit of, for once, just doing what I want to do for my own sake, and not what someone else expects of me. It's probably the hardest thing I've ever done but for the first time probably ever in my life I look at the future full of potential and opportunity, and I'm incredibly excited about it. I'm just sad it took me 30 years to get here. Moral of the story is that you're in control of your own life, if you're not happy then figure out why and make changes. It's extremely hard but also extremely rewarding. It's normal to fear change but it is necessary. Whatever you're going through, you got this 💪

Great message and great video, coach! For a very long time I have been believing, “Oh, if I do/achieve this that or the other then I will be happy.” All the while, my mind was constantly filled with negative, self defeating talk. I’ve been in my own head believing certain things are holding me back and making excuses for myself. Only recently did I become aware of this and I have been working diligently to ‘reprogram’ my subconscious to fill my head with positive or uplifting self talk. I am only 8 days in but I am already noticing improvements in my mood and interactions with others. To anyone reading this, do not let yourself be your own worst enemy. Be proud of yourself, celebrate the small wins. You will be surprised at how quickly all the ‘problems’ you thought you had begin to disappear.
