Typically, people create their identity by relating their ego to their perception of reality, or vise versa. Without this relation by separation, ego and reality merge to form identity. This is why they seek to control their reality, including other people, because they need reality to align with their idealized image. When everything goes well, they attribute it to their power over reality. When it goes wrong, it's an external force. This is why mistakes and failures are always someone else's fault.

He is something That I've NEVER dealt with the domestic and mental abuse is insane!!😢 Then he wanted me to stay home take care of him and the house never ended up having children, he hasn't even tried to touch me in 13yrs 😢 so financially I'm stuck or lose everything and go to a shelter. Why would you want to keep them? I'm the daughter of a raging, abusive alcoholic. And the younger sister of his perfect Golden Child. For those of us who grew up with people who are highly narcissistic, we struggle every single day. We aren't allowed to say, "No." We have endured a lifetime of rages and abuse. Our lives are an emotional roller-coaster. We have HAD to endure them. But, if they just come in to your life... Get away from them. If you marry one, you will destroy your life and your children's lives. You will cease to exist. Your children will most likely grow up to be narcissistic or codependent. Get out. They can be super fun. They are very dramatic. They will fool you in to thinking that they are great people. But, get close and they will eat you up and spit you out, then eat you up again and spit you out...over and over and over.

The Narcissist cannot respect the family member or colleague for a reason. Narcissists do not have empathy, they need attention, be served the way they want it, have people around to follow their commands, follow their own rules and they need people around having some status ( work, power, money) or be somehow useful for them. These are criterias you need to fulfil to be accepted by the narcissist. It applies to any sexual supply or any worker.Once you are used, abused and no more needed to gain something from you, you will be discarded.

I never knew anything about this Narc tendencies or Narc personality. I left my ex for 15 years and in 2022 he hoovered me back. This time i put firm boundaries and closed my legs tight and decided to date him (collect data about him). Like a light bulb moment it clicked that the reason it never worked 15 years ago is because the devil is actually a Narc. Only when i closed my legs and observed him did they show who they were and this time the rose colored glasses were off and i was objectively observing them. After dating platonically for a year i had collected enough data and i WALKED AWAY. Two magical words that are like crytonite to a Narc.

I'm feeling more in control (we've separated months ago) but he knows I need money to take care of our disabled son... he refuses to pay me. He says "I've paid for everything for 20 years) So he makes really good money and pays very little out living in a long term stay hotel. He left me wth a 3/2 new condo and a hefty monthly payment. But.... I've stopped asking him for anything! He tries to bring us food & meals all the time but I politely tell him "that looks wonderful, but we're fine thank you" I depend on him for nothing and I take care of all OUR bills and child care and I do not work yet but I refuse to beg him. I'll figure it out but I'm the meantime I feel SO GREAT!!!

That’s the best thing Live your own life, don’t speak to them unless it’s really important Have your. Own life, if you get a divorce your life will be really hard and they will meet someone else in a minute, most women who get divorced are in a worst situation

My ex narc friend has an interesting personality in that she likes to try make me squirm when she gets annoyed at me over something and then acts like she's the mature adult. I don't remember the argument anymore but I remember that instead of letting me have a say in it, she would end the conversation for a few days and then shows up acting like an adult parent with, "did you calm down now?" And I'm just thinking there like, shes the one who had a tantrum and wouldn't even let me have a say! I wasn't really interested in arguing so I just moved on from that argument. Or, I told her how uncomfortable I was about my previous close friend just inviting another person to her place on the days I was going to visit her because then they would constantly interact with each other while I'm sitting there quietly questioning myself why did I took the time and spend all that money to even go there to visit her? And then she would do the same after the tickets were already bought! Was this situation any better? Maybe, if you are okay being the only person unable talking in other foreign language like they kept doing for example... I didn't even have any connection with her friend. I did eventually forced myself to cut all contact with her because she tried to triangulate me with her new friend that she was spending all her time with for a year while hardly having any normal conversation with me. I just felt more miserable after having a one sided chat with this bread crumbling very aware leach and when I decided that I would distance myself away from her to detox, because her behavior was making a mental mess out of me, she went around telling people that I am jealous of her having a better life now than me and that shes popular with her new fans...... she did not even think of that I was helping her to get noticed and successful and that I was always supporting her in having more friends though. I would often feel like I'm dealing with a child that has silently constant tantrums and wants to act like an adult parent while smirking when she thinks she has the upper hand or god forbid, control over situations. And when she thinks she got me squirming, knows shes doing something wrong, she then even double downs on that behavior to try get a reaction out of me. But unlike her, I gave her a chance to do better, I saw how it only was going worse and that she wasn't willing to do better, so I simply respected that this is what she is and that I don't want that in my life... Cutting all contact with her was the best decision I have made

Yes, fake being kind and naiv but my eyes and actions tell the opposite. It works to confuse them. No narcissist ever reads me and my genuine thoughts again. That makes them feel very uncomfortable and cowards as they are they step back and look for others who are easier to read.

I noticed after i told a few of them at work you must be real insecure to be worried about another man plus im not intimidated by any of you. I noticed that caused a shift of them to back off a little bit more at work. They still bully but i smile and laugh at them when they do. I also started bumping into them when they would crowd me at work and they stopped crowding me after doing that a few times.v

I have been listening to your podcast here on KZbin for quite sometime. Your advice and experience regarding narcisstic personality types has empowered me in dealing with my boyfriends ex wife. They are still in the pangs of a high conflict High profile DIVORCE. He doesn't not listen to these wonderful casts. He has decided to let me deal with her and in order to keep leverage I MUST listen to your channel. He has a terrible seperation agreement because the mediator was heavily manipulated ( I'm guessing) and I don't have a lot of moving around area. Thank you for your wonderful channel. I appreciate you and I absolutely would recommend all divorce attorney's or litigators take the time to listen to you. Keep up your positivity and exhortations!! It is like being stuck in tar. 3 months in and it’s like being sucked into a sinkhole or pulled into a water funnel to drown in their toxic arguments with fictional narratives. Looking for an exit plan. No matter how many videos I watch the path forward has so many options in words, actions and plans that it is almost immobilizing. My husband was an angry man. I thought of him not as a toddler but more like a 15 year old who never grew up lol! Everything your saying is him to a T! But he was just angry. If he wasn't angry,,,,, he would find something to be angry about. And the Bible says not to be with an angry person because all you can do is learn their ways. I went through 30 years trying to learn his ways developing allot of your strategies along the way you have developed so that he finally found someone else! Thank God! And it took me 10 years to find myself again from learning his ways...... which by the way were never ending. Never the same from one moment to the next. I was always learning his ways. I learned a lot from a book ( Men who hate women and woman who love them) 10 years into the marriage that helped me develop a lot of your strategies. Maybe they are attracted to us because we are angry too but have learned to internalize our anger? Because my mom was an angry person to me causing me to suppress my anger?

I have an older narcissistic sister who was a VP for a large company at one time. I have a job that is not as prestigious, but I know my job inside and out and have to have a lot of knowledge of medical terminology and other strict guidelines for coding procedures. Usually the narcissist topics covers a husband & wife, boss or friend situation. How much older is your sister, and at what age did she start? It's probably been a behavior from the start? I'm 70 and my siblings are 78 & 80, it truly never ends, just gets worse with age.

Abs the other sign is they spend a lot of time watching you and studying everyone your talking too while looking uncomfortable! I’ve tested it over and over and it definitely keeps this narc guessing about me and standing trying to work me out! Just don’t be predictable and definitely don’t react to anything not a thing no smiles or grinning etc ! Non reactive and you will see that narc twitching in the corner with ants in their pants 😂😂😂😂 it’s quite amusing !
