I comes down to demonstrating your value and understanding the internal promotional process within your organization. Every company has a method of promoting their employees. It can happen at annual performance reviews, specific times in the year, when vacancies occur or when you simply ask for a promotion. So while demonstrating your value and uniqueness to the company, also make sure you learn about their culture around promotions. Once you understand that, you can build a strategy to get to the next level! Good luck! 😉

A slightly unrelated but very important question that has been bothering me: What are some good questions that the candidate can ask the interviewer at the end of the interview process to impress and stand out from competition? Appreciate any insights!

I like to focus questions for the interviewer in 3 key areas: 1) Questions about the company and culture, 2) Questions about the job and 3) Questions about the remainder of the recruitment process. 1) What do you personally like most about working for this organisation?, How would you describe your organisation’s culture? Etc. 2) What does a typical day look like in this role? What have past employees done to succeed in this position? How do you evaluate success in this role? Etc. 3) What are the next steps in the recruitment process? When are you looking to have someone in the role? Etc. Those are just some samples and you can tailor and ask whatever you truly want to know about the employer, job and steps in the recruitment process.
