My only complaint about smugglers paradise is how long it takes to level, i feel like allods team WANTS to punish us for not playing on the free server and spending thousands of $, so they make leveling take forever.

There is a way to power level and skip the slow grind once you get to level 21 or 22. It is an instance where you can call up mercs for free and you gain levels like every 15 minutes. Problem is, you still have to do the main quests to get skill points, but you can use marks of fate to skip 75% of them.

@@ShadowReaver573 But regardless i will have to do quests for rubies. I do use the marks to skip the quests i can, but its still a long process. I often run out of quests and im only level 36. I always run out of quests and have to just grind it till i unlock more

I totally agree with you. I remember that there was a guild on the European server, where every member at least spend around €3000 for rune upgrades and stuff. It was ridiculous. I can really recommend to play on the pay to play server! Great video!

i am currently playing on the pay2play server (somebody gave me a trial) This game has some flaws that are annoying for example: - your inventory gets full really quickly (quest items dont have a special inventory, many different tokens) so you have to go back to sell stuff or complete quests - you can only accept 25 quests (could be more because your quest log gets full really quickly) - sometimes quests bug out and you have to restart it or you get stuck somewhere (especially if you use the automatic walking to the quest area) But overall it's not bad. There is a quest where you have to go to the sauna and hit people with a birch rod made me chuckle and the family name of the NPC at 3:55 means "shirt" (Rubashka). That game is really speak russian. the developers made the world you explore interesting

Legacy was my first guild! This game just needs more love. The endgame is what will keep people hooked, but empty leveling zones is discouraging. I am hoping to get a influx of players in Dec. To do a leveling event and feed my altiholism with regular leveling events

I suggest they give abt 2 or 3 months of free subscription to every NEW account to: 1. Populate the server (when i make incarnations i still see some newbies discovering the game). 2. Make the endgame enjoyable for casuals and basically everyone without 6*Lv10+ Runes Yes that means everyone can just keep making new accounts BUT the players with purchase potential will most likely choose to pay 4$ a month for their UNIQUE character they invested TIME on. On the other hand, just make more game modes for f2p sever so that all those who paid thousands of dollars don't leave, Keep special cosmetics and skills. In conclusion: The problem i see with this game is population. You wish to invest in p2p? you'd be the only one playing. forget abt raid quests and endgame. You wanna play for free ? Same issue the game's value will only be at the lore, Also forget abt endgame as the players are too op to compete with. (6years + allods online player)

@Xerx Lugner Soooo from what I know f2p has normal population but is absolutely p2w. I'm playing on p2p smuglers paradise, there's around 10 active players on each side( more on league). But the server is awesome ! 5€ a month and you can get everything in game from doing raids, skirmishes, dungeons and events not cash shop :)

Thought about coming back and put in some research. It's weird how i want to come back to this game every few years. Sadly, Steam playercount is 50 for the RU-version and 25 for the other one. Kinda sad considering how much fun i used to have with this game.

The free to play servers all have a healthy enough population to do all the content. The Global/EU p2p server is incredibly small atm. Huge exodus to the RU servers happened at the beginning of this year

"This game in it's purest form" that's called crack. I've never played anything as addictive . The way things look feel different. It was just great. I had many characters max lvl way back in the days. I can't remember the exact date I started playing but we were getting actual TV commercials and heavy advertising on this game and I was in high school, mid 20's now. I'd rightfully call this game dead, nothing really recovers, and it's never like the olds days. Good old days

Is this game still playable as of today?, I was watching spaniard content creator trash on it and say it felt like a literal sand box, like a shoe box with load screens and zones don't feel as connected as World of warcraft for example, but I'm interest on giving a shot.

@@AntonioKH2 Maybe they were a noob but the zones require you to travel on foot and cross boundaries and then you unlock teleport. Last time I played was years ago and the game handed out instant free levels so you skipped the entire game (f2p) The old game is entirely gone.

I just googled allods just to bring back memories and I found this vid. I used to play it a lot in 2011 , I played in the middle east server but unfortunately the server closed and merg it with the EU server cuz of the middle server had small player base. Then I quit it and I come back to play in the private server for a couple of years. then I found out about World of warcraft And I quit allods for good. If only Allods made pay to play server earlier I would definitely give it a try but it was too late for them. why would I pay a sub for allods when I can play the better version which is World of warcraft which have million of player?. I love allods but sadly they are responsible of screwing the game over cuz of their bad management and horrible decision.

@@AntonioKH2 Yes it is pay to win all allods are pay to win EU NA. ME(middle east). But I am talking about the Middle east management and advertising. We barly get update + a lot of item in EU are free but in middle east server you need to pay real money for it. Also they fucked up by not advertising it. I never saw an ad of allods ever. They only adverting thier other games they did not care about allods. So no wonder the player base is almost non-existent

Hey, Honestly don’t go on F2P. If you wanna do thé harder pve endgame, you’ll need to cash shop. Go on the P2P on league side. If you want more player, you’ll have to go on RU server they are so many player on RU right now, they had to open New P2P server because of wating queue ! There is a guild international where i am if you want.

Im gonna ask a simple question. Is the game fully playable without paying? Are there any class or spell locks that require you to buy stuff? Content like dungeons and stuff needing some sort of payed pass or unlock?

The lock comes with your dmg output. You will need stuff from the cash shop to improve your dmg, that's how they get you.

The game just seems to have the reputation of being pay2win and never seemed to recover. The EU server has a very small community, but the RU community is much larger. I am hoping to get some traction to draw interest.

As he said already, the game has already a reputation to be pay to win, but also many players have already been on the p2w server and have spend hundreds to thousands on their character(s). So they wont really want to switch. I kinda feel like downloading it again but i wont be playing it for long. I'll just do pve if i do download it again since i've already spent money there. If i wanted to do pvp then i would go on the subscription server

man i played this game in 2012 , it was amazing but it became greedy and unbalanced. content and game story is impossible to complete without real money, you can't survive without paying a grant, so depressing, it left a scar on many fans of the game including me, and unfortunatly many has left it to dust...

The pay to play server literally removes the cash shop. The biggest glaring negative is that the population on the Global server is small. Getting the final bits together to start streaming early leveling zones to encourage more players. Sub is roughly $5 USD per month and even cheaper when buying a 6 month period at once

Free to play yes, Pay to play no. My goal is to drum up some interest in the pay to play and then make like a big event out of it come December. It would have a fresh start server kind of feel. Very few end game players to start, but in just a few weeks having some end game players, and a growing community. The p2p really needs some love

I appreciate your effort to make the p2p server more popular but I think most people left allods because the devs butchered the game and those players won't come back since there's so many newer games out there now. And you have to consider that the p2p server requires you to pay constantly. Most people won't pay x amount of money to play a 10+ year old game when there's so many free and new games out there with better graphics, etc. If it was a one time thing to pay 5€ so I can play permanently with one character on the p2p server I might consider it. But thanks for showing me the actual changes (exp, loots, etc.) of the p2p and f2p server, didn't know all of those things! Personally, I don't mind the pay to win aspects as much since I am a casual player anyway but I HATE what they did to all the classes. They took away the warden's potions, pet skills, storm AOE, bard's songs, etc. and made them boring supporters with no cool skills. I used to LOVE warden back then and was a warden main but on the current state they are just super unenjoyable to play on the official server. I am actually playing on a private server called Allods Unchained with the 4.0 patch because of those reasons. Sadly, I couldn't find a pure 1.0 vanilla server yet.

Most of the p2p community actually just moved to the RU p2p servers due to them having a much larger community. P2P and F2P seem to be at odds with one another. I just want the game itself to get some love. Update 12 is a massive overhaul of the classes and I personally like what they have done with most of the classes. Bard, Engineer, and Warden are hurting the most. Like WoW the sub is just the nature of the beast, but we don't have to pay for the new content unlike WoW. The p2w is what got me away from f2p. It all depends on what matters to you! Thank you for taking the time to give your input as I am still newer to the game only having played for about a year.

I am actually playing on a private server called "allods unchained" that has the 4.0 patch and its soooo much more fun there. All classes played so differently and especially warden is 1000 times more fun than now. I just wish they would revert those class changes, the community preferred the old classes as well from what I hear. Also, how do you know what the 12.0 brings? Is there any information on that already?

Its not talked about because its too late and there are better games out there, in addition to the million or so f2p mmos that have sprung up. I used to play Allods when it first came out (mainly because i was young a couldnt afford a sub for wow), and i had a blast, but the p2w players running around ganking us/ attacking cities killed it for me. Also, making two servers seemed very odd, i guess perhaps they didnt know how to deal with Ivan who spent 1000usd on gear. I highly doubt anyone would want to try Allods f2p, when wow, ff14. eso, eve, runescape, etc are all offering f2p versions (with various levels of restrictions). I know not everyone can afford to sub for mmos, but from experience, f2p games just dont cut it, with their questionable cash shops, and the amount of scum and gold sellers infesting the servers.

On f2p there is number of ppl that are wealthy and they can afford full cs and just slap everything around,but you can make things pop. I am playing in there and i wish SP is well populated ,cos i would go there..

I honestly love leveling due to getting to tweak my build as I go, and working on a profession along the way. Leveling itself is fast, getting all the rubies and skill points from story quests is a slog. I haven't found a mmo that has absolutely mind-blowing leveling, which is a shame, but mmo's are about the community more than anything. Just hoping to show that this is here, and if nothing else archive it before it is gone.

Yeah it is a little wonky. You have to buy crystals equal to the amount of time that you want and then go to the subscription page and then "pay" for the sub with the crystals you just bought
