They literally only did that to so they could nerf the range of it slightly but in turn give it more shots on a full ink tank since the 3k and 4k is based on how many shots u can shoot with a full ink tank

I loved this weapon in Splatoon 1 and used it a lot! What is also interesting if I am not mistaken, this is essentially the only weapon that has changed its weapon class in the entire series. No other weapon did this.

technically in splatoon 1 they didnt classify blasters and brushes and separate classes, but were shooters and brushes respectively. so in that way they kiiiiiinda changed, but like not really, just got split off if anything

@@dorf7219 I can see what you mean, in all fairness dualie weapons can still in general be classified as shooters. I think with this weapon, it is just way more noticable really.

Dual Squelcher was straight up my favorite shooter in Splatoon 1. It felt so satisfying and balanced and I miss it so much. Dualie Squelchers will never get close to how good this weapon feels.

The dual squelcher was the weapon i always used back when i played splatoon 1, it was my favorite weapon and i would always shred with it. That and the hero shot were my most used and favorite shooters.

just dodge roll with the squelchers and whabam, our baby boy is back while firing in turret form! if its hard to see, nab a friend in the lobby and have them fire standing still in turret mode, the dualies transform into the old gun

I've played all three games, but 3 is still my favorite and I actually slightly like 2 more than 1. Also it's still wild to me how bad of a weapon nova is. Like not only does it have worse damage and range compared to dualie squelcher, it also has the worst accuracy of _any shooter in the game._ Yes, it has even worse accuracy than aerospray because of a hidden stat that determines the odds of your first shot missing (since your first shot is always most accurate one). Nova is the only shooter weapon with a 10% of missing your first shot, with the accuracy only getting worse from there. For reference, dual squelcher had a 10% of missing it's 6th shot, and pro in splat 3 had a 10% of missing it's 10th shot (it was closer to nova accuracy back in splatoon 1 lol).
