A good Yuumi player is going to be unattached a lot during laning phase. If you are present, the enemy team tends to act less aggressive vs being attached enemies treat it like the 2v1 it is. Making sure to unattach to grab that shield is huge, even if it means your team takes 1 or 2 autos for you to be able to shield the third and heal through the 4th and 5th is a big deal.

@Charliesan763 Agreed. Annie used to be my main. But because I did terrible with her I decided to switch to the cat. And had great success. Most of my games I win in the matches with her. I will admit her healing isn't *as good* as other champions, maybe her shielding capabilities ain't as powerful as others, and probably her damage buff ain't insane either. But she has such versatility that no matter what your team picks, you can cover that kind of support they need. I build her purely for healing for the most part personally. And haven't gone against many Yuumi players. But people always said I was helpful and even saved them a few times. Overall imo, Yuumi is powerful. But not busted. She's slow, fragile, and doesn't do a lot of damage. But my god is she good when she's alive. Also I typically grab shields when it's safe to do so or early game to get quite a few pokes. Idk how to ADC personally, still relatively new. But with how I build her currently. I think it works for me

The only way for you to die without having someone else to take the blame, since they were the ones that made the final decision to engage, is when your adc leaves lane after tilting for being 1V2 When almost all games end before 25min and you take a champ that is. for the lack of a better word, useless in the first 15min and then mediocre at best compared to any other support and the best asset she can offer is make the fed Aatrox do a little bit more damage and kill someone in 1sec and not in 1,2sec is a reason to get upset. What I want to say it isn't necessarily you, it is the champion. Yuumi is undertuned and picking her is actively reducing your chances to win and has no benefits (atm).

As some additional tips I would say that Yuumi works really well with hyper carrys, especially twitch as she can turn invisible with him, and some other champ with CC like bunny said, or maybe a Hecarim, Nasus or Veigar. Building ap with a Jhin will give him tons of ad so keep that in mind. Also, take advantage of your invulnerability and bait enemies, but don't trust it so much because you can take a lot of dmg when you are hoping from allie to allie, and you can be damaged by area effects or CC that can cancel your ability, so if you are low hp don't go hoping around like you were a trynda with ult, I've died a lot for this cause I'm stupid T-T And this is up to you, but I don't like to buy boots because I find it useless, if you aren't attached to an allie in a team fight you are dead, no matter what boots you got. Same with flash, I usually go with exhaust and ignite, or heal so my adc can pick barrier. Twin shadows and Mikael will work awesome with her. Hope it's useful! (sry for my english)

A few additional tips: - She's awesome at chasing down enemies after a tf, keep that in mind - Something crucial Bunz didn't mention: she's invisible if attached to someone invisible - Twitch Evelyn, Teemo, Rengar, Pyke - even if she uses her abilities. The enemy team will litterally see an ultimate or a Q going out from nowhere. - Sometimes you'll take damage (yes, its true), w out, heal yourself and w back on can make you want to stay instead of b. - Surprisingly, she can solo lane not too bad, depending on the matchup. The thing is, when you AA, aery will go to the enemy much quicker than your own aa. Therefore, you can guarantee that you get that shield up to win the trade if you make sure you don't overexpose yourself. She's obviously very vulnerable to longer fights on 1v1, but is great with a jungler. - Beware, especially during the laning phase, to make sure you're away from minions when launching your Q. It will happen quite a few times that it gets immediately blocked and you're fucked. I find going full AP is stronger on her than going the normal support way. The Q does a very significant amount of damage, and you can even try being cheeky and maxxing W second (thus pourring some insane adaptive force on your allies).

Good guide! I started playing Yuumi resently, I tried Sorcery tree and then I picked Presence of mind and Cut down from Precision tree. Works great, gives a lot mana regen in lane and when we teamfight.

tips: - if you hop to 1 ally, then exactly 1 second later (not quicker otherwise it won't work) to another ally before a teamfight, you give your 2 allies a shield - early lane fase poke. to better utilize the passive, try to wait for the enemies to use their CC before you try to proc your passive. remember. Yuumi can still be hit by CC while trying to attach. once you get hit by a CC your second will have a 5 seconds something cool down.. most likely you will die by that time

Thought about this, too. Big difference is how the stacks are used. Teemo always only uses one per use. Taric uses all of them. Yuumi doesnt use all of them at once. That may be the only reason why its mechanically rather like teemo shrooms.

I am Yuumi Main and i find it so funny how after the first Level and maybe a death for my ADC everyone goes apeshit how shitty of a teammate i am and how stupid i am for taking Yuumi and then after level 6 everyone just is like "Wow dude, you fucking awesome." Most matches i go out with two or three Honors and once i got four honors, that was very special for me. Had some match were my ADC ragequitted on me because he tried to take a 1vs2 in the beginning with me attached and got killed and blamed me for that. Even had a ADC ragequit on me because i killed an Enemy with my Q and he was like "REPORT YUUMI PLS" and after i asked what was wrong he wrote "You killsteal" (Was the first Kill of the Match), after that everybody asked if he is stupid and he ragequit. My friend and I have found a ridiculously overpowered combo near the mid/late game with Yuumi and Vladimir. Vlad hits his W and becomes untargetable for 2 seconds as well as Yuumi then Yummi uses her R. They all become rooted and then Vlad can clean up the survivors. 2v4'd the enemy team with that move.

In my opinion I like resolve secondary on Yuumi and I take Font of Life + Revitalize. Font of Life will proc every time you hit someone with your q, allowing better chases and higher damage output in lane. Revitalize is pretty self explanatory, boosts her heals, pretty ok for the early game to get some extra healing in as you only have 2 charges and a somewhat high cooldown since you are maxing q first.

Thats what I take as secondary. The 5% max cdr is nice but mana isnt an issue if you use bop and block properly. That increased shield and heal is far more valuable imo. Last two games 5/0/12 and 0/0/17. ^^

She is squishy. She is meant to be squishy. 70% of the time you'll loose half of the use of the rune cause you'll be attached. All guardian can do is maybe saving you when you make a mistake (get caught when not attached and close to an ally), but best thing you can do is just don't get caught and use aery for poke and shields.

Yes, if you don't die you can support and protect but IMO with her current ratios and CD's all the other champs that i said earlier do those things far better. Soraka heals waaay more and has an AoE silence + aery every 1.1 secs, lulu can protect the carry far better than her and sona is a very similar champion: Poke (auto shot + passive), heals (more once you maxed W), MS and stuns (instant). She needs some tweaks IMO Edit: not only protecting the adc, helping other team mates too. We know well which role supp does

i think you are right for most people that play yuumi, that she does not help in the earlygame a lot so i understand that you say the adc will hate you early but the way i play yuumi is a little different i see myself as bonus health for the adc so if am level 6 with 700 hp i can tank about 600 hp and then go onto the adc that way i can take pressure of the adc and try to save him, for example the jungler ganks i immediatly go off from the adc and poke / tank for the adc when i am close to dying i jump on the adc and gave him effective 600 bonus health which is insane

actually in early your w gives little to no dmg to your adc so its better yo just jump off and hit the enemy with normal attacks , once they starts focusing you , use the w and start healing. The real problem with yuumi is that you will die the moment your teammates does something stupid and you will give him 2 kills instead of 1.

I use ignite and heal on yuumi i don't use dash since im attached to a baby sitter and if my baby sitter died im probably dead anyway if i can't hop into another ally, i also don't buy boots early if i do i buy with CD 10% boots, i also buy hextec item with mana and atleast i use it to also scape when hextec skill activated or kill steal with hextec skill and slow plus my first skill and i also buy item with magic penetrations that way my skills will hurt more, i always like to use my support as "killer supports" that way my team loves having me as yuumi or sona....

Go rank game, Pick yummi, get stopwatch, use it while attached, person die while your gold, get kicked off them, yet stay gold, can still cast and move, run around killing every tower, your immune to all, get to diamond rank, go on youtube to tell everyone, wait for patch.

It's worth noting that higher sustain bot lanes will be able to fight Yuumi and her ADC with minimal resistance. Mostly talking about Lulu and Soraka; all these two have to do is bait Yuumi's ADC into fighting them, and then pop an ult to deny any kills and secure a clean trade. Also; every time a lockdown support, such as Blitz or Morg, lands their signature stun/lockdown: they're securing two kills for one if Yuumi is attached, (especially for Blitz).

For the runes i tried Guardian with Font of life, Second wind and Revitalise; the second tree being Inspiration with Perfect timing and Biscuit delivery; Adaptive adaptive health for the third tree. I've the feeling that might be a really good runepage for her. What do you guys think?

Guardian cooldown is large you just get more flat value from aerie because you cast soo much

@@sansationist6744 I use it sometimes for certain matchups. Occasionally both can proc at poor moments but atleast you get aerie back quicker and it has some offensive capabilities.

A BIG weakness is her warding. Leaving allies to place wards you have no escape if you bumb into an enemy. Gaining vision against an oppressive jungle is near impossible. Possibly domination secondary ..?

It's not a 1v2 early because you should be poking shielding and healing. Also I would argue you can skip boosting favor of other items.

In my opinion, not having the UI enabled so we can see abilties used, lvl points spent, and items takes a lot out of the guide, especially for newer player slike myself.

Just play Yuumi as a healer (kind of like Soraka), use your passive and max your E first, also use ignite and heal. Don't play her on rankes if it's not a premade... and use the ult for following (offensive) or to disengage (deffensive).

Not to give a lazy answer, but it depends. Most of the time I max E because it's the best. However, if I'm going against a passive lane that doesn't need many heals, or if we can play aggro, I'll max Q. There's no point in maxing W first though because think of it like this. It starts off at a %, not a flat amount. So, when your ADC is level 1 until they get their first item, regardless of how many points are in your W, you aren't getting any AP from that. It's better to max it later on. Though sometimes I'll take another point in it depending on what my ADC builds or if it's Jhin or something. So, usually, I max E -> Q -> W. But sometimes I will do Q -> E -> W.

1:50 TRANSLATION: A major Con is that ADCs have to wipe their own ass in laning phase and don't have a support to cover up their mistakes anymore. Jokes aside, I think Yuumi works well with good ADC players-- I mean everyone does but for Yuumi this applies so much more. If someone is practicing ADC or relies heavily on an aggressive support just so they can get a decent CS score (like me when I try to play ADC), Yuumi is not the champion to play. That's hard to gauge in solo Q, and if you ever want to use her in rank you'd have to be in a duo with your ADC. I love playing Yuumi and in my journey to get her to mastery 7 (weird time to flex), there are times where even if you play your best as Yuumi, if you have an incompetent ADC you'll suffer just as much. Its easy to get out when your ADC tries diving against a Leona as any other champion but if you're attached to them, you'll suddenly be under tower with them and be forced crawl away when you dettach. Play Yuumi if you have a good comp and a good feeling about the ADC (or playing with friends), but avoid her if an ADC seems like they need the extra cushion that Yuumi can't give in the early landing phase.
