and after he asked that, watch the video.. he went on to compare their death count to katrina, if i remember correctly, and to say basically their death count was no big deal because it was less than hurricane Katrina's. here is a small clip of what he said:kzbin.info/www/bejne/rJu8qaiMmtSFgNU here is the full speech: kzbin.info/www/bejne/mJi4nWqbjr6LptE he said they should be "proud" of their death toll, which i guess maybe if he meant that they had done a good job with evacuation that could possibly make sense and just be said in an incredibly insensitive way, MAYBE, but then he said "its not a REAL catastrophe like katrina" WTF??? then he asked everyone to praise his response to puerto rico, said the hurricane had messed up his budget, as if they had any control over a hurricane, and then he asked an air force rep to speak about the coast guard, clueless moron...“Would you like to say something on behalf of your men and women?” says chump. “Sir, I’m representing the Air Force,” came the puzzled response. then chump, trying to cover up his mistake, says" No, I know that." what a clown. no wonder he is the laughingstock of the entire world! I hope he is the death knell for the republican party, and for the two party system in general... but we will see. ugh such a creep, he has no empathy whatsoever. sick f*cking douchebag, Even trump supporters must face up to the facts...Trump can't even do the most simple of presidential jobs, which shouldn't be partisan at all, or politicized... he seems to be utterly unable to empathize with anyone else, or to comfort american citizens in a time of crisis... he probably sees it as, why should he care about them, they don't have the right to vote, and they didn't kiss his ass, so he attacked mayor cruz on twitter...he threw another toddler-like twitter tantrum.. his ego is so fragile, he's the king of the snowflakes!!! what an embarrassing, childish, self-absorbed, petty asshole!!! just listen to what he said to the khan family, his unfeeling call to pregnant widow myeisha johnson, widow of ladavid johnson, who served and sacrificed his life for this country, (and in return for his willingness to serve to protect his country was used for big oil and big Pharma, etc.'s agenda).. where chump said "he knew what he was getting into". he only called after the media asked about him contacting families of lost soldiers, for good publicity i assume. you know how obsessed chump is with his "ratings". chump wouldn't know about serving his country, he got 5 deferments, 4 for school and one for "bone spurs" ( he couldn't even remember what foot they were supposedly on) and called STDs his "vietnam". making fun of john McCain's war record, " I like heroes who weren't captured", when john McCain was a POW for 5 years, crashed his plane in enemy territory had broken bones, survived in horrible conditions, and refused to be set free and go home without his fellow POWs. whether you agree with McCain's views or previous votes or not, at least have some respect for his service record ffs. these are just a few of the countless examples of his disgusting behavior, which doesn't even touch on his corruption or disrespect of the constitution (calling to open up the libel laws and take away licenses of news outlets that print stories he doesn't like even though they are true, which is a violation of freedom of speech, and is what dictators do, calling the press the enemy of the people, calling legitimate news organizations fake news, saying the travel ban would not effect christians, which violates freedom of religion "Amendment I. Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances...." and government has no place encouraging one religion over another or punishing those who practice any religion or those who practice no religion... conservatives say they are for smaller government but when it comes to religion it seems that they don't always abide by that) Dotard Chump....what a classless turd.

Puerto ricans are not able to vote, but during the military draft era, the US drafted puerto ricans like crazy, for the Vietnam conflict, the Korean war and WWII. I remember that during the Vietnam war, many of my neighbors came back in a casket. it seemed like every other week, someone in my small town was killed or badly wounded in the war. what I'm trying to say is that puerto ricans are good as cannon fodders, but not good enough for having the same rights and privileges as every american in the main land. Sad!

@@kvandermeersch5753 Yep us European powers that still have overseas territories either give them nominal independence (like the UK and Denmark) as most of the ones we have left couldn't survive as independent countries anymore or have fully integrated them (like France and the Kingdom of the Netherlands) and they are no different from the mainland. What cracks me up especially is France whose American territory is WAY further from them and yet is still a normal part of France (they are even part of the EU so other EU citizens can move their freely!)

@SplotPublishing7 жыл бұрын
We sent well over a Battalion. In fact, just this week, the general had to leave as we are now officially in the "recovery" phase. Unfortunately, as he himself said, there was still much to do. But the military has to follow orders and it takes a lot more than a single BN of engineers to fix all the problems on an island with a population of this size. Accurate? How? That Puerto Rican people can't vote in the USA? That is true. But USA citizens can't vote in Puerto Rico either. That is as accurate as it was. Just Google stolen relief given to Puerto Rico and you will be bombarded with site after site of different officials of Puerto Rico being arrested and convicted of stealing money and supplies given by the USA and other countries. To this day they are still finding storage wearhouses full of life saving supplies stolen by the elected officials of Puerto Rico. But as long as Puerto Rico wants to have its own election with no interference from the USA this is what is going to happen. Maybe if they let us have a say in it we would do the same for them?

Wow, I didn't realize PR was dealing with such bureaucracy. Ouch. What can be done to change things like the Jones Act.
@elia.almodovar95584 жыл бұрын
The Jones Act applies to all overseas territories of the US. (US Virgin Islands, Samoa, Guam and PR. Also Hawaii and incredibly, Alaska). Basically it says that any good shipped from an american port to an american port MUST be shipped in an american registered vessel. (to protect american shipping interests) Anyone can see that this is antiquated but nobody does anything about it. ( to protect almost moribund american shipping) Democracy at work! Yay! ( BTW, there are secession movements in Hawaii and Alaska and the Jones Act is one of the reasons for that, as either it makes their costs prohibitive or does nothing for them at all.

I'm sure that has nothing to do with the fact that citizens in the states can vote, and many of those areas were red in the last election, right? (obvious sarcasm).

3:11. (I don't like insulting people but) it's like he's refusing to be a better president. I'm so sorry for all of the people who were affected.

Do u realize that trump did send a lot of supplies and support but they were poorly managed and a lot went to wast so it basically was exactly as trump said “ we did a good job but corruption on the local level is messing it up”
@hridhayisthecutestpie21944 жыл бұрын
@@noahbarlow2213 Wait do you have proof of most of the supplies being badly handled or impacted by corruption. I would love to believe he actually did something there and isnt just telling his side if the story. If possible could you also link the article or whatever you got your info from please. Thank youu

Worldside Paraphernalia I don’t know how I attach articles but all I had to do was go on google and search “supplies that trump sent to Puerto Rico” and it pulled up a bunch of different articles

I miss this show. I would pay $50 a month for a streaming service to bring back this show, the daily show with Jon Stewart and the colbert report with new episodes.

One of the best videos I have seen in recent times. I think his way of storytelling and the nature of opposition could work well for the Indian internet media.

I agree that Puerto Rico is in a bad situation, but I still found it pretty funny to hear "No power, no communication, no phones, and no electricity," as if those are four different things.

The Divided State of America, where each state is so weird and distinctively different from its neighbour that they all become a clusterfuck of weirdness. So much for being the most powerful country in the world.

Update for 2018 - Puerto Rico death toll after Hurricane Maria is 4,645 people. Which is 4,629 more than t'rump's 16 people when he visited. So if that's a 10 out of 10, I'd hate to see what a 9 or 8 would be. www.foxnews.com/us/2018/05/29/hurricane-maria-killed-more-than-4600-people-in-puerto-rico-study.html
