I'm sure his congregation is full. They have that outdoor Passion Play twice a week in the warmer seasons. Eureka Springs is quite unique. I used to tell people to not confuse it with the State of Arkansas.

People should take more of a stance like that pastor. The last thing we need is some LGBTQ activist teacher telling our 5-year-old that it's OK to be transgender at that age. LGBTQ people can live the way they want. That's OK. Just stop the indoctrination and this so-called imaginary movement to make the world gender neutral. This is why the 'transgender bathroom' nonsense is such a NON-issue. Women who are 'uncomfortable' sharing the PUBLIC bathroom with ANYONE who needs to use it regardless of gender, don't need a new law, they need a therapist to treat their glowing transphobia and teach them how to behave like an adult in public. Transgender women keep biological women safe, so they don't have to worry about men rapists or pedophiles. Transgender women serve this duty out of the kindness of their hearts and biological women should be THANKFUL! And treat their irrational fears with therapy or education.

Honestly when the corespondents for Trevor do comedy interviews it feels like the interviewees are filmed answering mundane questions first and then they insert the footage of the comedic questions in post. It's just so disconnected but here it doesn't feel that way. I just hope she understood his ironic tone and that he wasn't actually behind what he was asking. Poor thing looked so confused and disgusted 🤨

I don’t think we should outright remove it-make them demonstrate their charity status like we make every other charitable organization do to get their tax exemption. The ones that actually provide charitable services should be entitled to tax exemption just like any non-religious organization. Just don’t give them an automatic free pass.

@Mr. chicano The automatic charitable status given to religious organizations is why they’re tax exempt. I say make them pay taxes if and only if they wouldn’t otherwise qualify for a tax exemption-there’s no reason to disincentivize charitable works just because it’s coming from a church/temple/mosque/etc…they just shouldn’t get that automatically as a privilege. You want tax exemption…earn it.

The solution is a very simple one: people who object to sharing a public bathroom with anyone, need to discuss their irrational fears with a mental health professional. Transgender women don’t need to put up with irrational fears, they use the bathroom to relieve themselves, not to make a scene. So, if you’re not grown up or adult enough to share a public bathroom, then you aren’t yet adult enough to be venturing into the public sphere. And should probably stay at home until mommy and daddy can teach them how to be adults/

I was very confused at the way this was going to go at first. As an Arkansas boy I can say eureka springs is by far the most open city we have in the state. My wife and I love it there though. I lived in Eureka for five years after I flunked out of college. It's amazing. Half the population is artists/musicians/actors. I moved to NYC to be a big star, & have been here 22 years now, but I got married in Eureka on the Post office steps, to a woman that also happened to be from Eureka. We were only acquaintances in Eureka, & strangers in NYC, brought together by mutual friends visiting. How that happens in a city of 8 million ppl is beyond me. Hi anybody from Eureka watching this!

As someone born and raised about an hour from Eureka, I'm thrilled with this piece. Eureka Springs has almost exclusively been the most accepting town in the state. Definitely has gender neutral Gelato, snowcones, and the best bacon sandwich ever. The lady's response, "For some reason conservative religious people are very hung up on bathrooms" I think encapsulates the whole message of this piece. I love her, she's a straight talker in the exact way Donny 45 isn't but wishes he was.

One of these days we're actually going to start demanding that our politicians and community leaders back up what they say with actions, instead of being shamed into silence under threat of being called out as somehow bigoted ourselves.

It's nice to see something positive happening in regards to LGBTQ+ rights. It gets a wee bit exhausting constantly hearing about legislation being passed or proposed that strips our rights away.

@@jonathanlindsey8864being denied housing. Possibly being fired from your job. Being murdered because somebody doesn't agree with it. Being denied services because of religious freedom. Some Christians even want to pass a law on denying somebody medical attention should they still need it especially in an emergency just because of who they are.
