That Hellbringer you encountered in the second game (5 HMeds + 3MedPs) - I tried to run that one recently, too, and it was a one-shot-killer! You got one shot at the enemy and if he´s still standing, you get yourself killed.

I just did this build as a complete n00b, I haven't played MW since I lived in Munich in the early 2000's. My first round I did 834 damage and 3 killing blows. It works.

I prefer a couple of Large Pulses instead of the Heavy Large Lasers in my Hellbringer. It simply doesn't have the armor / structure to stare at things for very long while your lasers are going, and with the LPL / ERML cooldown stuff, it makes for a MUCH easier ECM poking mech that dips in, drops an alpha, then promptly dips out to cool off.

yeah you get better sync with the range and rotation of the LPL/ERML, just boat up on heatsink and keep supporting your allies, pop a few alphas and go back to supporting or rotating

Heavy lasers are a lot of fun. I've been using a huntsman prime with 4xMed Heavy Lasers and a gauss. The gauss lets you do damage at mid-long range and is your back up weapon up close when those heavy mediums start over heating your mech.

at the end when the guy jumped in front and you ask "why would he jump in front of me?" i suspect part of the answer is he jumped before you fired and considering jumping mechs is like piloting bricks he probably didn't have much choice after a decision made 2-3 seconds earlier.

The First game was my little commando 2D rolling up your back line as they got way out of place and I know you love to push so I used that to our advantage as I was drop calling your push to the team getting the assaults and heavy's to hold the line and I took the meds and lights to roll your rear slow movers up :) but I did say sorry at the end of the match. Its good when a team works together, that's why we came in hard when you hit the front line and the 2 little Guys you had in your gun sight and let us run free little Urdie and Commando got us over the line thanks to our team. check out E7 @6:14 here we come

Keep up the good work Baradul :) The Hellbringer figured out to run best with 2 LPL + 4 ERML or 6 MPL - 2 HLL + 4 ERML are imho (unluckily) a loadout way too hot for this mech

If it's a good game we don't care if it's a win or a loss, nobody wants to see a game where you die 1m in with 50 damage done but everybody loves a game where you try hard and have a close game, be it a win or a loss

Maybe strip one arm down, put everything in the other arm and spend the gained tonnage on a TC1. Definitely worth the beam range and crit chance.

Something's off in your video. If I load exactly what you did I only get 58 Alpha, not the 64 your video displays. If I drop a hs and add another erml then I get 64.5 Alpha.

gigastrike2 clans have ER Meds and Heavy large at the same range. IS have Er Meds and LPL at the same range.

Personally, i would have called the thingy a lip..given the scale of what you're driving..otherwise I'd have called it a guard rail...it isnt a guard rail since its made of cement but i have no idea what its actually called. Either way, your build is great in concept, i will be trying it!

There is too much ECM right now in my opinion. I like to use ATM and I have issues dont want to imagine what streaks players going through. Single ECM is not much of a problem but ECM blob behind a cover is a nightmare.

Kinda close to my build except I'm using HML instead of ERML. 2xHLL in RT - 3xHML in LT with ECM, LAP and TactcomMK1. For 66dmg and 1.4 heat eff, I had to stop using it because it felt like cheating. :p

the mileage comes not from the fact you can use them forever, but that they're relatively small compared to other weapon systems so they get critted less, and there's no ammo attached so, even less things to crit, granted yes you can take out heatsinks and for XL runner's, losing a torso shits on your heat efficiency, but to a degree your laser's are still usable vs. permanently losing ammo during detonations and taking extra damage from detonations. All this and their ease of use is why Lasers are popular.
