I picked this up about 4 days ago when my skin was very tight and itchy and burning. I think I overdid it with the exfoliation. This stuff healed my skin in 3 days using it in my AM & PM routine. My skin is calmed now. I think I’m gonna keep this a holy grail for whenever my skin needs healing and throughout this winter. I’ve tried the Kate Somerville delikate recovery serum and is wasn’t nearly as good as this one. And for the price point, this is amazing!

​​​@@swetapatel7279I only wash my face in the evening when I shower. In the evening I apply tretinoin / any serums and actives and in the morning I just add a moisturizer with SPF on top. I started Tretinoin a few weeks ago and got very irritated. After putting this calming serum on top of Tretinoin my skin calmed down within a couple of days. It's great. I only use it at night though because it adds a tiny bit of that pink hue to skin.

@@swetapatel7279it will depend on your skin type. Oily skin types may need to wash in the morning. Combination skin also can apply for am washing but maybe use only water if you have sensitive skin

Love love love this product on my second or third bottle cause I lost count. I use it every night after cleansing my skin. Just a few drops spread across my neck, cheeks and forehead then my nighttime moisturizer and I am done. As to the price here in the states it is $17 dollars which is nothing in the realm of skincare.

Hi Dr V. Thank you so much for creating this channel and putting your knowledge and advice out there for people with skin of colour. I am a fellow Indian like yourself. I’m currently using the Cerave moisturising cream as recommended by yourself but I don’t like the way it looks on my skin; makes my skin look dull rather than healthy & moisturised, is this normal? I have dry/combination skin. I prefer my skin to look healthy & glowing when I moisturise. Does it improve skin overtime? As I am around the same age as you and even though I don’t suffer from issues like acne, my skin is quite dull as it’s not producing as much sebum as when I was younger. Also are there any other affordable moisturisers that you can recommend from Boots/Superdrug apart from Cerave? Pls I would appreciate it very much if you could reply. Thank you 🙏

To combat dull skin use apricot oil. It's been a blessing for my face. My mother has returned to this old hack and her 84 year skin has been the object of quite a few compliments.

Well 1 thing I can say is...all the skin professionals will say 2 battle hyperpigmentation sunscreen is a must! Also vit C breaks down when sun hits it so u need sunscreen 4 it to work if using in the day! So add sunscreen if u don't have 1!
