I appreciate everything she has done and sending out virtual hugs. The only criticism is that she should tell us how to layer it. At best you can only place three products on your skin at any one time because the more you put the harder it because for the other products to penetrate. She showed us 13 products but not the order to use or how to alternate the use between days. I admit I am overwhelmed.

@@nk886cynthia5 Yes, I saw the video but I had to go and look for it. There was no link to previous layering video in the description box. I believe when you are introducing a multitude of products you should add how to layer them. For example, she could have said this product would go on first followed by this product. You don't have to go into details because you have already made a video on that. When you make a video always assume that it is the viewers first time seeing that video.

So happy I found this channel!! Literally I haven't seen one person talk about skincare for people of colour and I didn't even know until watching videos on this channel that this could be why my skin is so sensitive to hyperpigmentation. I have had to do years of research on why I get hyperpigmentation when I'm actually very pale and it's literally so annoying because I feel like it makes the hyperpigmentation look worse cause of how much its contrasting against my skin. Anyway about to watch all your videos girlllll cause the info is gold

As you discussed about a whole lot of TO products, would you be able to put together a skin routine video as to which to use morning and which to use at night and which two not to use together. We see a lot of products and some should be used alternatively. Is it possible to do a video on these very products in a skin routine chart style. Also what is your take on Vit C 23% from the TO range?

I’m a 46 year old woman of colour living in Jakarta & I have tired & exhausted skin; and have tanned the last few months due to the climate here. I’m hoping you can answer my questions:- 1) For all of the ordinary products you’ve mentioned in this video:- maybe you can show how to layer each of them 2) Also a video of products suitable for women of colour who live in the tropics. Thank you & much appreciated 🙏🏽☺️

I’ve been binge watching your videos for months and I love them. I just have two questions for clarification, I’m Black and have very sensitive skin. I’ve been using the ordinary Lactic Acid (5%) for about 2 months and it been great. I was considering going up to 10% based on the advice from the ordinary team, to help with the closed comedones on my forehead. I’m not fond of the texture. Would you recommend doing this? Also, you’ve mentioned a vitamin c product and wanted to know what your thoughts are on their ascorbyl glucoside solution in 12%, would this be appropriate? Thank you!

@@wydmatt7294 Personally, I didn't break out from it but it didn't change much either. I have dehydrated oily, sensitive and acne-prone skin (the whole package!) My skin texture and scars are still there. I'm just gonna finish the bottle and go to something else (mandelic or azelaic acid). For the cleansers, I use either FAB pure skin cleanser or Youth to the People superfood cleanser. Both very gentle.

Hi Dr., you recommend The Ordinary's natural moisturizing factors + HA in several videos. I looked up the ingredients, and for several of them there is evidence of health toxicity. For instance, studies for triethanolamine have shown it is m an immune & respiratory toxicant; chlorphenesin has evidence of allergic dermatitis, skin irritation, and being an immunosuppressant; propanediol is a skin irritant and there's evidence of endocrine disruption. When looking at products, do you take into account the potential toxicity of other ingredients outside of drying alcohol, fragrances, essential oils? Some of the toxic ingredients are also used in other NAFE-safe products. I'm concerned about using products with toxic ingredients that can cause not just skin but health issues down the line. What are your thoughts on this?

@Aaron Chauhan - Hada Labo is actually from Japan - one of my favorites...I have been using their HA products for ~15 years, and that’s how much younger than my actual age people think I am (so they say). The only downside is having to wait for the products to arrive from Japan, but just requires a bit of pre-planning. I love Korean skincare, too, but just passing that along (admittedly, a teeny bit biased, since I’m “hapa” (half Japanese) 😁🤣😊). Their skin plumping gel cream gives nice moisture, as well. Cheers!

I put it on and it made my skin slippery and wet so my moisturizer didn't go on as nicely. Easier to buy products that contain niacinamide, such as CeraVe PM. But I don't even bother with it anymore. Firstly thank you so much for giving genuine and transparent opinions about each brand. I am from AB, Canada. I just happened to see your vedio and frankly, wasn't happy at all. You were like , a big no to most of the products I use or just purchased and I decided not to watch any more of it . Lol. Then my consciousness said no she is a great doctor and often truths are bitter. Being a lay person understanding your terms where very difficult as I have never ever purchased a skin care addressing it with the chemicals in it. Just go by what the sales person or the skin expert at the store says walk out. So I decided I will take notes and go right from your first vedio 5 years back . N now its 4 am in my place and yet still with my note book. Kinda like a good student of urs! Well u earned it! Because not every vedio has made me sit down to this stretch. Now I decided to change my routine according or with regards to the explanations and recommendations given by u . Few humble suggestions if you could incorporate in your vedios. 1.while u explain about skin routines. Please mention 4 options(every single concerns ur addressing ) for - dry skin , - combination skin,- oily skin ,- normal skin. Thus making your vedios generalized for all skin tones. 2. Please make an entire skin routine AM & PM with The ordinary range (ofcourse u could incorporate your Dr. V glass as I know the ordinary or none others are going to make one like u 👍. Then the colorsense spf, simple cleanser , etc) 3. Kindly mention all the products which could b used everyday as well as the once which are for once a week , and also all concerns addressed in that single skin routine. Eg. I have dark circles, acne pigmentation , puffiness, combination skin, dull skin, very dry place Alberta is, in am 29 , most of these are in mild level for me. That too post pregnancy. So in one single skin care am and pm routine it would be great if you can tell us what all to use for what all problems. 4. Please talk about lip care as well. Pigmentation or dark lips 5.should we use toner in our routine? 6. Do u think we should oil our body on a daily basis? Like skin care for face any for body as a whole? I dont know if saying all this is right.but felt your body language portrayed a very humble and friendly person.so thought could or must let you know!.. Finally, you are doing a great job. Helping a lot of people around.Thank you and God bless on behalf of all of us!
