What I recommend is applying the serum on your face and spreading with fingertips, then other products like eye cream and moisturizer, apply with finger taps not face rubbing so that it blends well to the skin and not move the serum around. Also before applying the next product, wait for the first product to set and absorb into the skin.

It is recommended to wash your face in the morning for various reasons. One, you do want to be removing your nighttime creams and serums that you used the night before. Especially before putting on more in the morning. Two, you want to prime your skin by cleansing it for your morning skincare routine. And three, bacteria can accumulate throughout the night. So it is not recommended to just rinse your face with water to keep the benefits of what you put on the night before. You got the benefits from it during the night when you were sleeping. 😊

Just a tip from my dermatologist and also I saw a video on KZbin from a US based dermatologist, that serums shouldn't be put in your hands. It should be directly applied to your face because you are only wasting the product. Which is a common misconception when doing skincare. People think that it should be activated with your hands. You're only making most of the products be absorbed by your hands instead of your face. Try to search for serum mistakes. :)

@eduardaarrais3 жыл бұрын
Actually, most dermatologists recommend not washing in the morning :) if you did a good job the night before, no need to wash it in the morning as you didn't do anything to it and by logic your face shouldn't be dirty. However, if you suffer from acne of have oily skin, then yes it's recommended that you wash your face in the morning as well. But even for people with oily/acne skin it depends on the person. I for instance have oily skin and wash my skin in the morning with rose water only (which supposedly has cleansing properties but is super gentle) and I do just fine, while some other people might need to use an actual cleanser.

@jessicadias57174 жыл бұрын
Glycolic acid is an AHA (Alpha Hydroxy Acid), it is the strongest out of all AHA’s. It chemically exfoliates your skin, getting rid of all the dead skin cells. The ordinary’s has 7% glycolic acid which is a pretty high concentration so if you have sensitive skin it might sting/burn. I would recommend to use 3x max a week if you’re just starting out or are using a retinol. Also always use in the PM, as it leaves your face extremely sensitive to the sun. If you want a more gentle chemical exfoliation try the ordinary’s lactic acid 5% or 10%. Hope this helped! I have actually bought this 3 weeks ago and I have no complaints, but you do have to be careful with it! Ps. I’m not a specialist

The Inkey List has a great BHA serum that can be used as a replacement for the SA 2% Solution.. For retinol/retinoids, maybe use the slightly lower percentages that may be available from The Ordinary, and if you can’t, The Inkey List also has a nice retinol product and a bakuchiol product available. Also, Naturium has great retinol serums, oils, and creams for a slightly more expensive but still affordable price point.

Hi! I also have oily acne-prone skin and I've done some research to build my skincare routine and not mess up my face in the process. I think there are some things you need to consider before starting your skincare journey! The toner she uses, the Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution, is recommended to use only once a day, and on your PM routine (you can look it up on their website). If you are just starting to use exfoliating acids, maybe just use it 2-3 times a week to let your skin adjust to the product and build a tolerance to it. Also, this toner is not recommended to use with other direct acids, such as the Azelaic Acid Suspension, because it can over irritate your skin. I've never used the Azelaic Acid Suspension but I've read reviews where people say that it can be drying, so I would suggest using a hydrating toner or a moisturizer. Retinoids are great for acne, I personally use Adapalene, but keep in mind that it can be irritating the first few months and it may cause purging, Dr. Dray has a video where she talks about the benefits of retinoids and how to start using them. I wouldn't use the Glycolic Acid Toner on the same night as the retinoid, you can always alternate products. One last thing, BHAs (Salicylic Acid) are best suited for oily and acne-prone skin because it controls sebum production and goes deep into the pore, AHAs (Glycolic Acid) work on the top layer to get rid of dead skin build-up. A lot of people recommend Paula's Choice Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Exfoliating Liquid. I hope this helps you in some way, sorry it's kinda long, I know dealing with acne can be very hard, but do your research, try products one at a time and be consistent. Improvement takes time but in the end, it's very rewarding.

hi this was so helpful! i have two questions! what step in your skincare routine do you use the peeling mask? and i notice you have the same facial steamer as me! what step in your skincare routine would you use this? (i just want to make sure i'm doing everything in the right order lol. have a good day!
@ray-lc5ov4 жыл бұрын
You can use this : Cleanser Peeling mask (Don't use serums/treatments after the peeling mask) MOISTURISER!!!***** Spf (If you're doing this in daytime) Hope this helps hehe
@SashaColina4 жыл бұрын
I only use the mask once a week. Treat it like you would any other mask that you apply then wash off. Then apply your skincare after. And you can use the facial steamer after you wash your face and before applying your skincare. It'll open up your pores and allow your skincare products to work more effectively!

Hi Sasha, i want to change from my cream moisturisers to face oils. Can rosehip oil be used as a moisturiser for day and night? Could Retinoid be used as a daily serum before rosehip oil? Can rosehip oils be mixed with other oils?

I heard you shouldn't mix your acids and vitamin b, so I'd do some research about it and maybe ask a specialist

For anyone who needs encouragement: Romans 8:18 “The pain you’ve been feeling can’t compare to the joy that is coming!” John 3:16 “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.” Whatever is going on right now, have faith, your situation will get better. :) Jesus bless anyone reading this and have an amazing day!!🥰✨💖

I am using Niacinamide and AHA BHA peeling solution, i'm purging!!! did you experience purging too? if yes, how long?
@nurilham61323 жыл бұрын
omg you're not supposed to use them together in a same routine. when you use any peeling solution, keep it simple. after applying the peeling solution, just end the routine with a moisturizer. ((But if you want to experiment, wait for 30 mins and then apply the niacinamide))

@@nurilham6132 huhu ok ok. i will try. i stopped using the niacinamide cause it's causing me breakouts. i was using it am and pm
