+Blackton Obvious! Oddly enough he actually can channel black lightning bolts. But he's called Black Lightning because he wants criminals and cops to know that he's a black man. He addresses this to Me. Terrific in the follow up series. But, yeah, his black lightning bolts are his most powerful version of his powers. Almost uncontrollable.

Blerd, who was the first Black superhero in DC"s history? Is it Black Lightning, or Bumblebee? I've heard it was one or the other, but I want to be certain.

Technically it's Bumblebee's husband Malcom Duncan who dropped in 1970. But he was just a regular guy on Teen Titans (similar to Wyatt Wingfoot in Marvel), but he became Guardian later. So it's a weird deal. He was before John Stewart Green Lantern who dropped in '72... But he wasn't a "super hero" until way later.

Something I just read something about he man's grandfather being black. When I was reading the Conan novels and I will cover hear the fact that there was an expose on HP Lovecraft having been racist which was a shameful thing to read being a white HP Lovecraft and Robert E Howard fan I don't know if it was the same with Robert E Howard but in the Conan novel Coney is maternal grandfather was supposed to be black or from a southern race and that's why cone in bronze so easily once he got to the sun countries we need is his Journey's after his teen years. Saudia need thing to see if there were or would have been more Masters of the Universe characters who were black. And during a time when they were supposed to Mattel did make some black characters the only one who was a action figure was clamped and we should have seen more of this. By the way I'm a white father who made a channel for his daughter and would like to have seen more black action figures who were prominent in the superhero shows that I washed and read about including Masters of the Universe. Please excuse the mistakes I'm doing speech to text
