For those that aren’t aware watching this origin, Victor’s father was a renowned healer it is gypsy camp. The barren wanted him to cure his wife but unfortunately she was beyond help. However the Baron thought that he just didn’t want to help her out of spite, for his own wife’s death, so he ordered his execution. Victor‘s mother was burned at the stake, accused of being a witch. Apparently, she was, as Victor himself would discover after his father‘s passing. He would combine both his mothers knowledge which he combed from her journals with modern scientific advancements. This made these feats before going to college possible. The experiment that would change his life forever was an attempt to find his mother in the afterlife; he was just looking in the wrong place. What child believes that their deceased mother was in hell instead of heaven? And I like to believe that the guy that points out his equations in this flashback are wrong to be Reed Richards.

Nice comment - Victor's whole childhood was bound up w the persecution of his Romani "gypsy" brethren, which led to the deaths of his parents, his notion of himself as an avenging savior, and his haunted restlessness that leads him to perpetually delve into new dimensions and cross forbidden thresholds - as I recall, when he conquered Latveria he promoted his oppressed tribespeople to leading roles in his state - MCU is usually good w such details - I agree that the cautioning student is Reed Richards, since that animated sequence was very faithful to his 63 origin story

False bravado, and a paltry attempt at intimidation even though Doom proved his superiority over ALL of them. Stark's trying to save face from their humiliating defeat, since Doom bested them without even trying. Once he got bored, and since his DNA scan of the girls was probably finished by the time the teams actually challenged him, he got tired of their futility, saw the waste of time the fight was, and decided to simply give them the boot like a true monarch. So of course Iron Man would be a bitch because he and his team were made to look like a bunch of pansies against an enemy they underestimated. First rule of Marvel: NEVER underestimate the abilities, and intellect of Doom, or you'll learn first hand why he is the gold standard of comic book villainy among so many others.
