In world full of superhumans it'd be easy to not recognize Joe Fixit as the Hulk. Fixit is smart , he wears tailored clothes, he's smaller than he is in his green form, and he's grey. Of course Spider-man picked up on the fact that it's the Hulk because unlike the general public Spider-man has had the opportunity to be up close and personal to the Hulk several times and he knows him.

It's always nice when main universe Kingpin gets reality checked after all the stuff he pulls. He's just one of those characters you love to hate, especially how many times he just gets escorted to a jail cell for a 2 week vacation rather than any lasting consequences. To me seeing Peter beating the ever living crap out of Kingpin was the best and only good part of the one more day storyline.

Plus Fisk probably knows almost every fighting and training technique in the world. That's why he's able to go toe to toe with Spiderman (yes Peter Parker does holds back nevertheless defeating Fisk is pretty difficult). Fisk may look fat and flabby but all that is sold bulk and muscle. Kingpin usually doesn't make stupid mistakes and if he knew Joe Fixit was actually the Hulk Fisk wouldn't have done what he did. His arrogance and over confidance in his physical abilities..and lack of percerption of who Joe Fixit really is did Fisk in. Still it is so satisfying to see Fisk say Uncle.

I still remember back in the nineties when, the Incredible Hulk animated series was around, and they did the Joe Fixit Persona in season 2 with She-Hulk. Initially, Joe's lifting strength right after transforming is 95 tons. But if he is angry or enraged, his starting lifting strength after transforming is straight away 100 tons. Through rage, Fixit is able to increase his strength to potentially unlimited levels, even to planet-threatening levels.

To be clear, AT BEST Wilson Fisk is strong enough to flip a town car (so can Daredevil). Joe Fixit has about the same strength level as She-Hulk. Around 90 tons. There's a SLIGHT difference between the two. So, NO, Kingpin got LUCKY walking out of there, and he KNEW it

Nah. Fisk is a lot stronger than that bud. He's definitely superhuman but the comics don't really acknowledge it like that. He's somewhat comparable to spiderman. He's strong enough to body him if he's holding back. Spiderman at his best is around building level. Joe on the other hand is definitely far more than 90 tons. Your reading too many guidebooks. Those same guidebooks say Thor can only lift 100 tons. Same with savage hulk. It's inconsistent but these guys can be planet busters. At times even more. Much more. Joe has once beaten the abomination so that gives u a pretty good idea where he can be at his best.

Gray Hulk has always been one of the top personalities writen, I say his base levels have always been way above 100 class, only thing different was how he tapped into his anger/power levels. which made sense for his story arc. Just shows Joe Fixit holding back on all levels so he can enjoy life, women, money' but always giving his enemies enough to put respect on his name.

I remember when the Gray Hulk was reinduced Marvel comics theme at the time was everything old is New again. The Grey Hulk is supposed to be half as strong as the Green Hulk and only changes during the night. At least before the Mr Fixit storyline. It wasn't until a few issues in that an explanation was given on how the Grey Hulk survived the Leaders gamma bomb and arrived at Vegas that became Joe Fixit. I think it was supposed to be from a wizard from the micro universe Who recruited the Hulk to help him with something and in return the wizard cast a spell on the Hulk to keep him in his Hulk from even even during the day. As an side effect of this direct sunlight would give the Hulk a burning sensation on his skin.

Dude Mr Fix it is my favorite hulk. The gangster hulk yes. I'm glad he's getting more exposure. He's a great character and a reason to double up on my hulk reading. In this book I thought that kingpin would have been there with his super hinch persons and be ready for battle with fit it but he wanted to got at fix it, very interesting. This seemed more of a test but kingpins ego got in the way. I wonder though with all the super bad guys that worked for him why not try something on his self to increase the odds at least for Spiderman but no he content to remain human and do things his way. I'm looking forward to this war

I use to bring up that old Joe Fix it vs Spider-man fight all the time just to show how truly capable Spider-Man really is because that fight was pretty much a stalemate (because they had to deal with the cyborgs going around the city trying to kill each other)

Then that was dumb. Fixit is still vastly stronger than Spiderman. Let alone when Peter went all out on Savage Hulk thinking he was to blame for May's death. Hulk just tanked everything and basically helped Pete with his grief till Pete realised Hulk wasn't to blame. Pete realised Hulk was WAY WAY out of his league and he got very lucky that day. I'm not dissing Spiderman I love him but whoever wrote Fixit being level with Spiderman lost a lot of cred.

But you are mistaken bringing up Savage Hulk who is massively stronger than Joe fix it AKA Gray Hulk. The thing is Spider-Man kept up in basically still meet with Joe fix it when he was being a mob boss so a bad guy in Hulk's own comic, and around this time Spider-Man had many similar feats defeating graviton in like five other villains at the same time, getting a win over Namor, Spider-Man even had a win over abomination a few years later.

But like it or not it was Joe's first real appearance and it was establishing where he was and his character and they use Spider-Man as the measuring stick. Grey Hulk is simply weaker than savage Hulk grey Hulk actually lost to Wolverine and Rhino something that would never happen to savage 616 Hulk. Side not when Spider-Man and savage Hulk first fought, Spider-Man's full punch was actually able to staggered the Hulk (just to show you where their strength comparison used to be).
